The Bakehouse — Restaurant in New Forest

I LOVE this bakery. Ever popular in Brockenhurst is a straight forward, traditional bakery that does what it says on the tin.

Freshly made baguettes from a large menu, hot pastries and sausage rolls, loaves and cakes galore.

The bread is always fantastic and even when hot and busy and always on the go; staff are kind, patient and friendly. They are always happy to accommodate special requests, automatically apply special offers, dont make you feel rushed and are just really lovely people.

I'd recommend them to everyone and with a queue out the door, clearly others agree.

Shop is wheelchair accessible and there is on road or nearby car park (with electric points and Blue badge spaces) in easy walking distance.

The staff were so lovely. Despite the heat, being very busy and dealing with some very difficult elderly customers.

The cakes themselves were brilliant I particularly recommend the sprinkles doughnut because my goodness it was everything a doughnut should be ! The dough was sensational, it was fried to the right amount and it had lashing of icing.

It was huge and really well priced for what you are paying for.

It is such a cute little shop and everything is displayed so nicely.

I didn’t like the big cream puff as much but that is down to personal taste rather than...

We regularly visit Brockenhurst and The Bakehouse as their rolls, subs and cakes are excellent. However. this visit was marred by the girl that served us. She was rude, unfriendly and failed to say thank you. I understand that this is a very busy bakery but if she doesn't enjoy working in that environment then maybe its time for a career change. There are many people who live locally that would love a job in The Bakehouse. Stand aside and let someone with some customer service skills...
