Jenny's Cafe — Restaurant in Newark and Sherwood

I was not expecting so much from this local cafe and I highly recommend it!

The regular breakfast with optional charged extras was delicious, the sausages & bacon comes from a local butcher and you can really taste the difference. There is a builders breakfast that comes with most of the extras but the regular was the right size for me and my mum for brunch.

The service was friendly and quick. Ideal for local tradesmen coming in to grab a take away bite to eat or eat in at one of the 5 tables available. Sandwiches etc freshly made to order and good portion size.

She also has wrapped cakes and slices available to buy so those left at home won’t be left out!

The cunning invitation from those chaps at Google was "How was Jenny's?" I'm glad they asked! Background! Newark has some very good cafes. And now, three real contenders in Balderton, one of which is Jenny's. Equally the best bacon, sausage and egg bap in the area and wider! But, today I was in the market for a burger so I bought a bacon, double cheese burger. No real frills as such eg gherkins, special sauce etc but one of the BEST BURGERS I've ever tasted. Saw the reviews and thought I'd give this place a try while having a working lunch with a friend in the area. Greeted by friendly counter staff, great choice of menu, Covid safe while we ate in and food was freshly prepared was was good value for money. Definitely worth a visit to support a local business.
