Sad to be writing this to be honest as the servers we dealt with were both lovely. The food was really not great, tiny portions. I ordered the chicken tacos but with lettuce cups. It came as shredded lettuce with the meat on top. I pointed it out and the server said we don't actually have any lettuce cups. This would have been good to know. I started eating it and there was a few bits of beef. I told the server and he took it back. There was 100% beef in it. The rest was chicken but there was definitely pieces of beef that had gotten in, both me and my husband could tell it was beef. The reason I sent it back (not only was it not what Id ordered) was because when I put the allergen milk in, the only available option was the chicken, meaning on the menu the beef was displayed to have milk in (I have a dairy allergy). I explained this to the server. Not long after, the manager started to head out to speak to me, she got chased down by one of the kitchen staff in a man u t-shirt who very loudly was shouting about me and what I'd said and what it was I'd had. He then stormed passed me glaring at me. I had not once been rude about the meal. Just explained to the waitress so that she knew I wasn't being picky, even though beef in a chicken dish shouldn't be acceptable. And the way it came wasn't what it should have been. The manager came out. Explained they checked the beef, and there was no dairy in it . I said that's great but I ordered chicken. She then said well it was a new bag opened so there was definitely no beef in it, it just doesn't look like chicken. ( Why go to the trouble of checking the beef if there was non in my meal ). She said she'd take it off the bill anyway, and I said well yes because it wasn't what I ordered in the first place and explained how it came and she was understanding that wasn't how it should have been served. She also gave us discount. After this, another chef mockingly stormed up to her and said he was going to go out and '"personally" speak to me and was laughing. The manager told him to shh and stop . But I was right in view and ear shot. I have honestly never been made to feel so crap at a restaurant. I wasn't ever rude. I was clear why I couldn't eat it despite it not even coming as it should. And the kitchen staff made me feel like absolute crap. I feel sorry for the two servers because they couldn't have apologised enough. I would never go back and certainly wouldn't recommend. The food my husband and kids had were all very mediocre and it completely ruined our last night of...
Read moreOne of the worst restaurant/casual dining experiences we have had as a family. We had to wait almost 2 hours for our food. 3 waiters chatting and pushing robots around. Not even a full restaurant.
Throughout the whole duration before our mains came (I reiterate - 2 hours before we received our meals) they did not take away the empty plate of the one starter we shared amongst the 4 of us, nor did they check up on us. I went up twice to find a waiter to try to find someone to ask for more drinks for the children.
My children were upset as so hungry and the staff werenât apologetic or concerned at all. We should have left earlier. My 12 year old son was so tired and probably over hungry that he didnât want his food by the time they told us it was being prepared and therefore I advised the waiter not to serve it to him and take it off the bill please. Bill came and it was on the bill!
Manager came over. He offered us some free drinks - this wasnât a solution as we had two tired fed up children. They took some money off the bill (in my view after 2 hours with no food they shouldnât have charged us anything but of course I willingly paid). Manager went into depth as to how and why the chefs had missed the ticket for our mains in the kitchen - we didnât need to know details or excuses. A simple - âwe missed it and messed upâ would was all that was warranted.
I would much rather have paid in full and had a good experience as my children were so excited about the menu as they love Mexican food.
It genuinely ruined our first night in Center Parcs. Luckily we had bagels and jam at the lodge taken from home for our first morning breakfast so the children didnât go hungry.
Center Parcs Mgt should really not allow this substandard service ruin their guestsâ experiences and consider this restaurant partner.
We have been to Center Parcs many times and are annual regulars and have not experienced such substandard service before.

Read moreCame here twice on our stay 2 adults & a toddler (pre booked) Food was delicious however, service was absolutely horrendous. 1st time we came we waited ages after being seated for anyone to come over, but just let it go as the food wasnât long after ordering. However, the day after, start to finish was horrendous, the lady who greeted us was miserable, no smile, no âwelcomeâ, nothing, she just grabbed the menus and walked so we followed (this lady was in a shirt so even worse that she was probably manager as the others didnât wear the same uniform) once seated, it took a little while again for someone to come to us (wasnât busy at all at this point 4pm) the staff were just stood around chatting. Once we ordered food came fairly quickly and again was lovely. After finishing we were trying to get attention for a dessert but again completely left, we finally managed to get someone to get some dessert menus but after waiting a further 25 minutes we decided not to bother, as soon as we stood up they came to ask if everything was ok to which we explained why we wasnât and asked for the bill. She explained that its staff change over time around this time so limited staff although their was plenty of staff around they just preferred chatting amongst themselves. Very...
