Booked a table for my folks, partner, two year old son and myself for dinner (1.15pm) on the Thursday and the place was really busy, particularly because it was a cold day so everybody was mainly situated inside.
My partner ordered what he usually has, the New Mexican but as an Omelette as we always like to have dessert after (in a Pancake form). Both my parents and myself opted for the Farmhouse Omelette and my son had the kids Cheese and Ham Omelette. Our order was taken by a young lad called Ross.
When our food arrived, we noticed that both my partners omelette and my sons omelette were both pancakes instead. My son didn't mind as much, as he seemed to enjoy it, however, my partner usually has his as an omelette and didn't enjoy the taste with it being in pancake form. When we complained to a waitress called Rachel, she rectified this perfectly and none of us could fault her customer service.
For dessert I had the usual Black Forest Pancakes which my partner and I shared, my son had the Dipping Dohnuts and my Dad had one of the waffles for the first time and really enjoyed it.
I feel that there is a much better atmosphere and experience if you sit outside, but due to the bad weather this...
Read moreFood was as great as ever but service was bad. They just need a couple more staff and I'm sure it would be better for everyone concerned. Arrived and told to wait 10 minutes for a table. No problem so just stood to the side waiting patiently. Waited way longer than 10 minutes and saw 2 other similar sized families get seated so I asked the guy who was seating what happened to our table and he says oh I didn't realise you were ready? What? We've been stood in your eye line and you've not attempted to come to us despite being top of your waiting list. Took a while to order then even longer for drinks. Can see tons of food on hot plate they just couldn't get it out quick enough as not enough staff. Realise if you had that you would turn your tables around quicker. Food was good just a shame the service...
Read moreHave visited the centre parcs pancake house for the last 4 years. It was a must ! This year however we, a family of 7 were extremely disappointed. Booked a table to 4:30, arrived and the place had 1 other family in, no one else. Place was clean and tidy. Drink order took a very long time to arrive. Then the food arrived which was different in size and quality from previous years. A lot smaller, tiny ‘scotch’ pancake size with a few strips of bacon, pancakes had no taste. Definitely not American style pancakes as advertised. Bacon was nice. One guest had a omelette which was padded out with jalapeños difficult to find the other contents. All of us were disappointed with the quality and the portion size especially at the inflated price. Left understanding why the place was empty Won’t...
