A local pub for when I lived in Stoke and come to visit, everytime I visit the potters wheel I enjoy my experience. I had been twice in one week, the first time we had gone for food with the family. We had a table booked as that ensures you will have a table during covid. When we arrived we told the booking name; we were then asked to use the hand sanitiser. Tables were spread out and staff were dressed with protection. I felt very safe eating here and the food was delicious! Would recommend the All American Platter. The second time we went we came out for drinks, we luckily managed to get a booking for just drinking at 8:30pm. We stayed in for a few hours and had a wonderful time. Drinks are of reasonable pricing and if you dont feel comfortable going to the bar you can use the mobile app. All in all I can recommend the potters wheel as a wonderful pub to enjoy both food and drink; especially during the pandemic as they have put in a lot of safety measures to ensure customer and staff safety.

Good staff here always seem on the ball, always approachable, friendly and helpful. The food is about right for what you pay, with some good deals on at set times. Also a good crowd use the pub, with a good sense of that local spirit you sometimes get about a place. All good, with drinks sold at a good price and a good place to get a tasty bite to eat.

Well done to all the staff who made our party of 20 very welcome you all worked extremely hard and were polite throughout. The food and drink are very well priced, with not one complaint from our party. Thank you again for a nice Sunday afternoon.

Well you go to these places you expect a bog standard meal so take was average me and my son weren’t at the table when the food came out our stuff was there qwiet clearly I watched a girl bring it out the walk off with it when I said I’m sat there she says your not sat anyway and tryed walk off with the food, me and my 3 year old son were ill and I was told more than likely poorly heated rice, I went on to a fruit machine in the pub after and it didn’t pay out the pull about leaving 50 behind left my name and number never got a call since come to learn from a former staff they collect it when the machine guy came and kept the money the manger did the big girl she’s worked there a while the whole time I was there I made to feel uncomfortable by her she was rude and now I’ve learnt a thief to I can understand people have bad days especially at work that’s the normal but to steel money after such a bad experience is unbelievable makes me wonder was she having a bad day or is that her personality because it’s totally wrong I will be going in to ask where my money is £50 people work hard to make money and it’s unreal you can’t even trust a staff member. (Updated edit Just been reading some of the other reviews seems staff members have always been miserable disappointing to read really for the industry it’s a shame to many people quick to do a job they hate and then the customers are the ones taking the dirty looks soon as you mention your not happy with something g you’re treated like you don’t matter people make mistakes and there easily fixed no need for the hostile...

I went there last night. No ale left. Ordered fish and chips. The chips were so bad, they should have gone into the bin, but instead they served it. Waste of money. To the manager, please fix the door to the gent's WC. It is a joke, each time someone walks in or out, the door is slamming. A door stopper is about £12. People are going there to have a nice peaceful drink, not to listen your door slamming every couple of minutes. To the chef: please do not serve the food if it is not good enough for yourself to eat. Your fancy lights outside the building is not going to bring people back. Good beer, good food, good service will....! Also, I have noticed that she kept changing the little strainer at the end of beer tabs from one tab to an other. Then pulled the beer. The same lady was cleaning the tables and handling cash. Where she kept touching was going into my beer. That is low hygiene standard. For god sake little plastic strainer cant be more than couple of pounds, possibly the brewery would provide it free. Get one and stop touching the tabs...
