Really enjoyed my meal, my partner wasn't too keen on his but I think that was due more to his meal choice. Marked down though because we have a dairy free child and after my partner made the staff aware of this and checked the allergen book, they sent out garlic bread with his meal (even though garlic bread doesn't come with the meal) and there was also no apology for the mistake when he returned it to the bar.

In addition to this when it came to dessert we ordered the vegan option which was a caramel ice bar. However, when this was bought to us the waitress called it a milky bar, which of course we found concerning so questioned to make sure it was definitely vegan to which she said I think so it's the milky bar. We then had to prompt for this to be checked, with her being so unsure.

The lack of product knowledge is what is really concerning here and the staff really need some extra training regarding their products and allergy awareness.

We're quite on the ball with checking the food our son has when we order but not everyone might be,or they may assume because they ordered something at the bar it would come that way for example we could have assumed the garlic bread was dairy free (as you can get it) because we said dairy free when ordering, luckily we double checked this.

Thankfully ours sons allergy isn't life threatening but someone else's could be and dread to think of that happening.

I hope this is taken as constructive criticism as it's a nice place and our meals were good, but more training is...

Unfortunately there are no minus stars if there were I'd give it -5 ,I went here on a Friday evening for a meal with my partner for the very first time, I had reserved a table online and when walking in had expected to be greeted with a smile and a clear instruction of what to do and how the place worked ,instead I was greeted with with nothing but judgemental looks and unpolite service ,when asking at the bar for our table they seated us in somebody else's table.Our food took over 45 minutes to arrive and even though I had ordered on the app for our starters to come before our mains they chose to ignore this and bring it all out together and on a 2 person table there just isn't enough room.Our drinks were messed up even though our receipt was correct ,our food was bland and cold and quite frankly not worth it, when deciding to order desserts I was told no food service after 20:45 but as our food had arrived at 20:24 and other people around us were receiving food and ordering food we couldn't figure out why we weren't allowed to order dessert.This place is great for drinks and nibbles but as of food ,definitely not worth it,I suggest go stop by McDonald's on your way home which will have more flavour, probably be warmer and definitely fill you up more. Very disappointed will not be returning...

After standing and listening to a lady at the till chat to another guest for 10 mins a queue formed of several impatient people (myself included) waiting for some service. When the lady had finished her chat we were told that she would be back in a moment, I was about to walk out but then thought perhaps she had to get a till key, I still couldn't for the life of me figure out why she would not ask someone to come and serve in the first place if she was busy with a guest. Attempted to use my gift card only to be told it was invalid even though I knew it wasn't. I had checked the balance the day before then again after I left the restaurant as I wanted to be sure I wasn't being unfair to the lady but she obviously didn't know how to manually enter the gift card number so rather than check (I showed her the balance) I was simply told I couldn't use the card, Poor response in my opinion and if I'd have known I wouldn't be allowed to use the card I would have gone to the potters wheel. The girl that bought the food was pleasent enough and the food itself was tasty, I believe the manager was also serving on the floor at the time and she too seemed quite pleasant, I'd just perhaps recommend some service training refreshers for some...
