Village Spice — Restaurant in Newcastle-under-Lyme

Having spent 12 years in the military and 15 years front line 999 as well as a after club / pub fast food eater I think I know my way around the takeaway environment as a customer... I am also a bit of an old sweat to the order by app world and have never really been a fab of it as nine times out of ten you get a far smaller portion which is cold. However this restaurant bucks the trend... we moved close by last week and on the day of the move ordered out I had the chicken biriani with keema naan and the wife had a chicken tikka I advised her to get bhaji's as she may be hungry after her kebab. 20 mins after ordering off of food hub we had our food, it was piping hot fresh and tasty, however, the portions were gargantuan! I could have fed the two kids on what we had, in fact out 10 year old had a third of his mums kebab. I highly rate...

We normally order from here and have become quite regular customers of village spice but unfortunately will not be using again order for delivery and last couple of times has come wrong but tonight ordered extra Doner meat with burger meal which cost extra and was not sent I called up the shop to explain to see if could have it sent out as my child has it off mine I was shocked when was told by a staff member said yes they will send out tomorrow I asked if could be sent out asap as eating it now not tomorrow 🙄 and was told they turn the heaters off at 9pm when they shut at 11pm 🤔 utter crap excuse will not be using again and we have always used these shame as the food is good but speak to u like crap as long as they have there money they don’t care if orders are...

Thought we’d treat ourselves tonight and have a curry from village spice so ordered our treat at 5.30 was told that delivery would 40 minutes coming up to 6.45 food still not arrived so my daughter decides to contact them was then told it would be there in 10 minutes waited,waited,waited and waited come 7.15 still no delivery so I rings up on to be told it would be 2 minutes around the corner so waited ,waited,and waited eventually food arrived at 7,35 what a absolute disgrace and to top it all of there’s no fries what we ordered and the food is completely tasteless,,I’m sorry but since this place has been taken over the food and especially the service as gone completely down bank we certainly won’t be having anything from this place again at all just a waste...
