Wright's Pies — Restaurant in Newcastle-under-Lyme

Really disappointed. There was a huge queue and one person serving. The manager came to the front and was talking to the other member of staff saw that there was a queue but didn’t do anything about it. She then came out to the front again to take things out of the oven. Somebody went up to the counter and said excuse me but could somebody please come and help serve And the response was yeah in a minute I need to do this first. When I worked in catering, customers came first and it’s far better to get the queue down and then get back to what you were doing then it is to leave a queue which are disgruntled and might not come back. I understand there may be a lot of things that need to be done in the back, but maybe setting on another member of staff...

Everytime I order food for my mother on one of the apps there is food missing. Today I paid for a pie meal deal which supposedly comes with peas and gravy and recieved only the pie. The previous time the order was missing a sub and the time before that it was missing two sausage rolls. Not one of these times did anyone issue a refund, an apology or an explanation. I tried to ring the store direct...nothing. This place may be great when you're collecting, I can't comment on that. But don't order take away from this place, not unless you want to be ripped off. I'm not saying it's intentional, I'm sure it isn't and that it's simply an error each time. But it adds up and at some point you have...

Told me it’s two customers in the store at a time but then let a women in with her kid whilst there was another customer in the store. Where is the logic in that? Is the kid not a person?

As long as they distance 2 meters you can easily fit 4 customers in safely without blocking up the pavement outside causing people to walk in...
