The Hand Post Hotel — Restaurant in Newport

Ordered food came to us very cold and chips under cooked. Garlic bread burnt and hard very dry if I could upload picture of how burnt it was I would. Anyway none came to ask if everything was OK so I went to ask for new food. The food was taken away and NEVER returned GOT PROOF OF THIS anyway the manager came to our table told us the food was cooked just right and soft and it was meant to be crispy. She was the only staff member who didn't agree with me as the other staff said it was very burnt and that they was sorry. Anyway 45 mins later and being ignored still waiting for our food to be returned it never was. Considering we had paid for our meal we was robbed of our meal and our money this place needs to be reported. I am a disabled young girl with not much money and the treatment was shameful and disgusting I will report this place for robbing a disabled person of her money I'm very upset about this as I have special needs and I asked for help and was ignored and badly discrimination against I'm sorry to say this bad review but to let other people know if you pay for your food don't say anything bad about food as you will be bullied by the lady manager.. Another customer was there and is a witness to all this and they was disgusted by my treatment. I'm sure the lady will reply to this in a I don't really care way. I would like my money back for what was taken from us. I won't let this go people with disabilities need to be treated with respect like everyone...

I didn't stay there ,but dined in once & had tea & soft drinks twice . The staff were friendly ,but poor selections of vegan/ vegetarian foods .The vegan curry w/ fake meat was very nice ,but no veggies in it at all !! So,it was lacking of nutritious ! If they added carrots / peas in it the least ,it would had been excellent !! I had a waffle there ,too & it was delicious. The toilet was clean . I went there as my childhood friend( my 1st boyfriend & his dad )used to stay there sometimes ,I was hoping to get some information on his dad ,but I didn't get much of help. The owners changed . I was told. But ,since my late soulmate became a celebrity & a local hero ,I thought some of them would know !The bar & outdoor seating area ( tables/ benches ) looked busy & locals / regulars were having good times there !! Be aware of no food servings on Sundays !! But,you can bring your own food & eat it there as long as you order/ buy a drink there ! I really liked the decorations & window side tables ( booth ) !There are 3 bus stops right by this Inn / pub so that I'm sure many tourists / people find it very convenient as I did ! You have to raise your hand or wave at bus drivers ,otherwise they won't stop ( only a couple did ,but the most didn't )!! A very good place to stop by on your way to ,or way back from St.Woolos cemetery. Which is a gorgeous...

Myself and wife ate here as a last minute stop before we had an appointment. We ordered our food at the bar with our drinks . After we sat down we were then told after 10 minutes that there was a lon wait for food, would have been nice to be told this when we placed our order. I ordered steak & ale pir with chips, while wife ordered baked potato with chese and a side order of garlic bread. 50 minutes later my food was brought out but not my wifes , we were told the chef had messes the baked potato up so had to make another one .!!!! By the time my wifes had arrived i had nearly finished my meal .. the garlic bread was also missing .... first and last visit...
