In general it's a great place to try sea food. It is placed in the center of a town, has inside places and outside tables with umbrellas to cover you from sun or rain. Food is interesting and visually appealing. Two the most liked factors were food is fresh!, and you can buy fresh food to take out like in a store. You can later cook it the way you like it. The reason for 4 stars is the recept or lack of spices. I had to eat lots of mayo just to feel the taste of something apart of fresh fish. I have ordered fish and chips for 17£, it had interesting peas mash with mint, never seen such combination, was not a fan of it but someone might find this really nice. My wife ordered lobster for 28£, which was okay.

Lovely experience, great service and dog friendly indoors and out. We had the pan fried mackerel special which came with a lovely salad, and a cheese, leek and caramelised onion tart with some sour dough bread. Everything was really tasty and fresh. As an aside, I had one of the best cappuccinos ever, that I can't stop thinking about (no idea why it was so good!) I really recommend a visit to Tides! One note from when we visited, although they were open until 3pm at lunchtime, understandably the kitchen closed about 30 mins earlier to accommodate for that.

We had a delicious meal here and really friendly service. From the lovely amuse bouche to the most amazing crusty bread with delicious marmite and cheddar butters to small but perfect starters. The only thing we would improve would be the side dish (just plain boiled/steamed potatoes & veg), which was the same for everyone and didn’t really go well with one of our delicious mains, the monkfish & crab curry. A definite 5 star treat if sides were tailored to the each dish!

What can I say!! Personality Vacuum, Welcoming attitude, Food available for vegetarians extremely poor to say the least. We asked at the door were there seats available we were pointed to an unfinished cleared table. On this up to date site we were told that masks are to be worn and tables sanitised neither was this correct at no time were we told to put any type of mask on. We asked if there was any type of vegetarian options were available, not one thing in the counter was suitable for us, even though there were chefs behind the counter waiting for orders. Very poor to say the least as this was 1pm..... lunch time!! I don't know where the pictures on the site have come from bit it was definitely not at this particular eatery/bar/restaurant. I am not one for putting in poor results but this was...

Had cramped table wedged up next to a family who had a dog which had its head on my lap at one time. My husband had to sit with his chair partially across room entrance as I could not get to my seat otherwise. Did not expect pets to be in the restaurant in the evening? Love dogs but not when I’m eating an expensive meal. Service poor the girl who served us did not interact with us at all, explain any of the dishes as they came out or make any effort to welcome us. My husband wanted to leave a tip as food was good but girl swiftly put it in her pocket without even a thank you. Contacted manager the following week only to be told I was on her list but she was busy with bank holiday and her birthday she would get back to me- still waiting sadly will not...
