What a wonderful restaurant. Like a garden in full bloom. My wife Angela and I called in on an ordinary weekday morning and it was like walking into Aladdin’s cave. There was such a buzz. The place was jam-packed. Apparently, it was GCSE results day. There was a lovely happy community feeling. I saw a pregnant woman and her friend and another mum with a baby in a sling laughing with her extended family. There was an older lady in a wheelchair and a family of grandparents, children and grandchildren. We were all ages happy together. Such a special atmosphere. The staff were efficient, warm, friendly and genuinely helpful. Angela wife loved their special attention. We had fresh local crab claws and good chilled New Zealand wine. Angela enjoyed her cappuccino and was blessed when the kind waitress supplied her with some free cake and biscuits, though this didn’t stop Angela from enjoying her fancy chocolate sundae. The thing that impressed me most was that there was someone behind it all who made sure the service and staff were well trained, and the food was of an excellent standard. Well done to that person. just returned home from the diamond, we booked a table for 4 for 5pm for my father in laws birthday this was his first time in the diamond resturant when booking we did not say it was for his birthday but we could not have been treated any better the staff were excellant, the food excellant the resturant very comfortable spotless the food was faultless and excellantley priced we were that full from our starters and main we could not eat desert, but got coffee we told our waitress we had brought my father in law for his birthday and this was his first time in the diamond and she very kindley went out and came in with a beautiful slice of fresh cream spounge toped with fruit with candles on top. she came in with 2 other staff members singing happy birthday, it was a very thoughtfull and kind thing to do we just want to say a very big thank you to all at the dimond and we will have no problems returning and leting all our friends and family no of th kindness and...

Had been going here for years when living in the area. Everytime I'm back in the country now it's still my go to place.

Food - wholesome, delicious and outstanding quality, I've never left with a bad meal from this place in over 30 years.

Staff - Staying consistent over 30 years in terms of staff being genuinely caring about customers is no mean feat. Always friendly, always know everything about the meal your eating and just being great human beings.

Atmosphere - the scenery changes little but the memories stay the same and we always make an effort to get here. It's a light and airy setting for everyone including families.

Without doubt, my favorite place to eat anytime I'm in Ireland and at a price that is unbeatable.
