Absolutely beautiful meal 👌👌5* service, bit of banter from lovely waiter. Party of 6 which included two under 2 years so no mean feat but everyone enjoyed their meals. CV19 wise, this is the restaurant I've felt most comfortable in - every member of staff wore masks or shields, there were barriers between the other smaller tables, social distancing, sanitiser upon entry & a menu you scan to avoid handing them out physically - my Dad still took one as his phone didn't have the facility to scan but we were advised they were wiped down after every use and the scannable one encouraged more. Pictured below is the Vesuvia pizza. Beautiful 👌I was also toying with the steak papperdelle which my Dad got & I tried, also beautiful 👌👌

Very tasty food in nice surroundings with friendly staff. Only issue is that under the mains, the menu states they ALL come with a choice of side. I ordered chunky chips (thinking that was the choice of side) and was charged £4.95 for these. Assume the broccoli was meant to be the included side or was I charged by mistake? Without the chips, this wouldn't have been much of a "main" meal (see image) and should be clearer on the menu. I have been before in larger groups and never noticed this, so just thought people should be aware when ordering as I think the wording on the menu isn't very clear and for me, chicken with a few stems of broccoli isn't a complete meal.

Could not get through on the phone to book a table however, I walked around and it was clear to see why they couldn't answer. They were full. The staff were great and were able to get us a reservation. Upon arrival our table was ready, a space for a wheelchair was already made and a baby highchair in place. This meant there was no fuss/attention drawn to us. As I already said the staff were great all of them, friendly and professional. As for the food, well we all loved our meals to the point we were boasting how our meal was the best choice. So wheelchair and child friendly, situated in a good location. Staff great and food amazing, highly recommend.

Food was nice, pizza and pasta dish was lovely. Let down by service. I believe that we were unfortunate to book a night which seemed under staffed and crowded. However we felt ignored for the majority of the night with tables beside us getting served and hosted with us still sat with clear plates waiting to be removed. We sat with our starter plates for that long a waiter turn up with our mains with no where to place them as our starter plates were still there. No apology just take and gone. We then continued to watch as other tables got starters finished them, cleared their plates and delivered their main whilst our empty main plates where still sitting. I have no idea how long we actually sat there for but it felt like forever. We were in a clear seat which many waiters just walked past and served people beside us. I am not one to shout for waiters or to wave my arm in the air for attention. We ordered a dessert and cocktail which was very nice. And then continued to wait for the bill. Lovely food let down by being ignored and forgotten...

Have to honestly say this was one of the nicest Italian restaurants I've ever set foot in, it didnt get off to the greatest start because I had booked a table for 2 a week in advance but unfortunately on arrival still had to wait until 8pm to get seated. The boss man certainly made up for this by giving us our drinks for free so I'll get over it, But let's get to the food.

The starter was absolutely exceptional the mains was absolutely to die for, i would travel from Belfast to Newcastle every single day of the week to eat at this restaurant. Also may I add this place is so affordable, our meal only came to £32 and if we had of been charged for the first set of drinks then it would of only cost £45 which is just amazing.

To close this off I would just like to say thank you to the amazing staff for you great hospitality and excellent service.

Will we be back? Does a bear S* in the...

This restaurant was recommended to us, and we were looking forward to it during our stay in Newcastle, but the food was average and we weren't impressed. The lasagne was particularly disappointing as it wasn't really much better than a decent ready meal and not as good as many we've had in other restaurants. The salmon was pleasant, but the sauce was bland. We also had crispy potatoes with garlic and parmesan and they were very poor, just a bowl of not very crispy potatoes with a lump of unmelted grated parmesan on top. Nothing was bad enough for us to complain about on the night, but it certainly wasn't good enough food for us to consider a return visit.

The service was ok,one very pleasant waitress and one who needs to learn how to smile and make customers...
