The Ancient Mariner

Lovely location and food was ok. Staff was rude and unfriendly. Went for breakfast and ordered 3 adult breakfast meals. our 8 year old daughter just fancied some bread and butter. They refused the order saying "we dont do that" i really dont understand why we couldn't pay for some extra bread and butter?! We Was told our coffee's would be a 10 minute wait, fine. We got our food 15 minutes later still not coffee. Also no butter for our toast. I asked if the coffee's were coming and they rudely told me there is a back log (no apology for the extended wait they had already given) I had to ask how much longer the coffee's would be (so i could decide whether to wait or change the drink order) was abruptly told 5 minutes. Had they told us the coffee would be 20-25 minutes we would have ordered orange juice. Butter didn't come until we had finished our breakfast. Same as the coffee's, just as we was trying to cancel them. I might add that not even half of the tables were taken up so it wasnt busy. Very disappointed and left us feeling low when we left
