A beautiful bay with steep cliffs. Mostly pebbles with some fine shingle which is lovely for playing with dogs and skimming stones but this isn't suitable for building sandcastles. There is also a view across the harbour towards the water powered railway ascending the cliff. This is a famous Victorian engineering marvel which is still working today.
