We have been to this little cafe many times before when staying in Woolacombe for our annual visit. The food was always excellent and good value. The crab and lobster dishes were AMAZING! We didn't go to Devon in 22 because of work and illness. Today on our hols again we headed to our favourite cafe. A but if a treck as stopping near Minehead. But those crab/lobster fishcakes are worth it. Now bearing in mind this cafe is normally rammed and we were able to walk straight in was a little bit of a surprise. Then noticed the quaint decor had been changed for more modern. Also noticed that half the tables had been removed and replaced by a huge drinks fridge. Then the service, ignored when entering. Not even an acknowledgement. Sat at the table for at least 5 mins before hubby got up to ask for a menu... So it's been taken over and completely changed. Unfortunately not for the better. Shabby service. Rubbish menu and all the lovely atmosphere just drained from the place. 3 lots of people came in then got up and walked out. We had drinks but only out of politeness. Such a shame. We won't be returning....
