Clay Cross Desserts — Restaurant in North East Derbyshire

Ordered from here for the first time at 9pm last night. Ordered a waffle, cookie dough and three milkshakes. They said that the delivery would be 65 minute which I did not mind waiting for as I took that as they were busy and that surly it would come within that time, leaving them a decent time gap to get it here. 80 minutes go by and I ring to see where my order is and I am reassured that it has ‘left the shop’. I rang again when it had been an hour and 40 minutes and it still hadn’t arrived, I was told to wait a further 10-15 minutes and if it still hadn’t arrived then to call back.... I did this as again it still hadn’t arrived. This time I heard the male who answered the phone shout at other colleagues to which a different male came on the phone and explained that it was late due to bad weather even though it had not even rained at his point. I expressed my anger and got a simple a apology and an excuse that they were busy, I stated that I understood they were busy but waiting 2 hours for desserts is ridiculous. When they finally arrived we got no apology from the deliver driver and the waffle was soggy as it had been in the car so long with fruit on, ice cream had melted and barely any chocolate sauce was put on. Milkshakes were the only nice thing about it... Will not be ordering here again, massive shame and the service really needs to...

Prices are very expensive for what you get. I ordered the kinder bueno ferrous roche waffle with ice cream. The waffle looked like there was only half a bueno stick crushed up into tiny pieces. (2 bueno sticks in a pack). Also, there was no ferrous roche on it!!! nearly 7 quid I paid for that!! I also ordered the red velvet cake. It doesn't taste very nice, mediocre at best. The icing was also rock hard on top due to being in the fridge all day and night. It was midnight when my order arrived. I ordered cream with my cake and a pot of cream arrived with enough cream for two mouthfuls. There was barely any squirty cream in the pot. I also ordered the bueno sundea, the ice cream tastes nice and there is whipped cream on top with half a waffer stick but that is all. Hard to believe they charge 6.95 for this. The delivery guy didn't realise that the flats were different to the houses and so rang me to ask which property was mine and to come down for him. I came down and couldn't find him.. Only to realise the bloke had stayed in his car on the complete wrong end of the street?? You would think the guy would get out of his car at least so I could see him.

All in all, I am very disappointed with my order. I certainly shall not be ordering...

I do hope your going to lower the prices and make cakes,cookies ect bigger and better than before.i am a fully qualified food and quantity manager and work for my own company to.we have a large based group of staff who order from all different takeaways,restaurants,sweets and desserts shops.the amount of bad feedback Ive had from this company is very shocking to say the least....the main factors of complaints was that the prices were way to hi for the quantity you get. Delivery was and can be upto 2hrs. Frozen berry's and fruits. To dry or hard cookies. Waffles were very soggy. Milkshakes were half made and not much ingredient as to which the customer ordered. Also very poor hygiene as to over 89%of customers had mentioned to my team. Delivery is extortionate. I really do hope you can turn this absolute shambles into something everyone can really enjoy.good luck to the future and hope you can take my words into consideration and hope your business will be blooming by a few months.
