Days Bakery — Restaurant in North Hertfordshire

First time of coming here and although the food all looked nice and what we purchased was nice it was all very chaotic. You walk in through the door and straight away the counter of sandwiches is there. There is very little space and as it was busy we couldn't see the options very easily. When ordered we had to fight our way through other customers to pay. It was so congested. The hot counter which had sausages in was very dirty, very greasy, lots of crumbs. On the other side with the cakes there was more room so could see easier. However we had to order separately and pay as you couldn't do it all in one go easily. Im not sure where any info was, maybe stuck on a wall or door that wasn't easily visible, but, nothing had a label. You had to guess at what each product was and how much it cost! By law aswell everything sold should have the Kcal count and allergens displayed but as there was no labels its anyone's guess. This will be my first and last visit. The staff were nice but a little stressed. Such a shame as you cant beat...

Went with a friend today and requested a ham salad soft brown bap with salad cream and lots of butter. Two baps in the counter one seeded one not, repeatably asked which one I wanted, my friend and I looked at each other in question. Ok they may have been busy but I wanted a soft brown bap with lots of butter? there were two in the pre prepared counter on offer. I ended up with not a fresh one with lots of butter but what was in the counter with added salad cream. Not a Simmons experience at all. I won't be going back, I was tired and just wanted what I was prepared to pay for but had to settle for the counter food that may have been left for a while. Fresh is best and I am always willing to wait. Maybe Simmons spoil me but its made in front of my eyes, If i pay a premium price I...

This bakery has nice food, but I've had some pretty uncomfortable encounters with the staff. They often prioritize serving white customers over others. Whenever I was waiting to order food, the staff almost always asked the white customers behind me first. One time, a lady behind me in line told the staff I should be the next, then guess what, the staff looked at me and immediately walked away. Another time a staff accidentally asked me first before a white customer, and when the staff realised her mistake, she immediately apologised to the white customer. They never ever...
