I had the chicken, bacon and mayo + sriracha toastie on granary bread with a pot of English breakfast tea , our friend had the tuna melt on sourdough ciabatta with apple juice and my wife had the soup of the day which was chicken and vegetable soup, with peppermint tea. All meals were delicious and we followed our lunch with warm scones with jam and cream which were outstandingly good! There was a lovely mix of customers many of whom were regulars and the attentive staff knew their orders. Although there was a delay in being served due to the lunch rush (we arrived at 1:15pm) our waitress asked how long we'd been waiting and apologised for the delay and after ordering explained the food delay was 20 minutes, however the tea and drinks were brought out fairly promptly. All the staff were very friendly and answered all our questions about the food. There was also an extensive range of lovely looking cakes. Would definitely visit again - highly recommend!

Good vegan options clearly listed on the menu with VE. We had vegan sausage roll and jacket potato with vegetarian chili (VE), smashed avocado, humus and vegan cheese. It came with side salad too. Very yummy. Decaf coffee and dairy alternative milks available. They do mention on the menu vegan cakes however we did not have the time for it this time round so will add an update when we do try them. Nice seating area both indoors and outdoors. Good service and great atmosphere too. Baby changing facility also available.

Popped in here earlier today for a pick me up and I'm glad I did as it was a real treat. I ordered a latte and a carrot cake to go and the price was good. The carrot cake was full of flavour as was the coffee, certainly worth what you pay. The staff were organised, friendly and really helpful. The decor and atmosphere of the place felt cozy and modern. Will be returning in the future. Visiting this place was a added bonus to an autumnal walk.

I think this is a great place for coffee and cakes but, unfortunately, we decided to have lunch here last week. I had mushroom and cheese toastie and my husband had what was described as 'mega hot dog'. Wished we didn't bother. My toastie was bland and the whole thing totally tasteless; I'm convinced it had warmed tinned mushrooms in it. My husband's hot dog was not a hot dog at all, just a massive baguette with normal pork sausage (just one) cut lengthways in 4 pieces. Nothing mega about it and technically not a hot dog!! It took a long time for the food to arrive as the cafe was very busy. My advice is: stick to coffee and cake and go for your lunch...

Pixie's is our favourite place to come in Baldock for a weekend lunch and when we have visitors. Everybody there is so friendly and helpful and we are always well looked after.

The toasties are my favourite and the cake table is always well stocked with so many delicious options. And although I don't require it personally, it is brilliant that there are many vegan and gluten free cakes and bakes, and they are definitely not an afterthought.

They also do a fabulous afternoon tea.

Lovely little place to visit...
