Imagine this I'm a 60 year old gentleman, who ate at this franchise, I had just moved house and was dog tired and just wanted to have some food, relax, catch-up on emails and generally chill. My own house was a complete mess, so I arrived at 8:46PM and left at 10:39PM (so not in anyway during any peak period).
Two weeks later I get a ÂŁ60 fine issued from MET Parking who monitor the MacDonalds carpark, and apparently which has a 90 Minute limitation on how long one can stay and eat. Because of the move, the letter took 2 full weeks to get to me which meant I had to pay the day it was received.
So, thinking this could be sorted, I contacted MacDonalds Sleaford, and spoke to Sofia - who was as unhelpful as one could possibly be, refused to pass on a message to Martin Redmill the Franchise owner, refused to try to get it overturned and refused to in any way help - what a great example of customer service.
I then contacted a manager at the A151 Spalding MacDonalds also one of Martin Redmills Franchises, they told me something very different and were quite helpful. They stated that if a customer was on premises, they would contact Met parking to get it overturned, they would pass a message to Martin Redmill, and they would also contact the Sleaford branch to try to get some movement on this.
Then Silence - Nothing, no communication at all. So the following day I again rang both Spalding and Sleaford. Spalding said they would pass on the message to Martin Redmill, I again spoke to Sofia at Sleaford who this time was absolutely belligerent, and told me in no uncertain terms that she would not pass on a message, I had outstayed my welcome, and that she would do nothing to help and then hung up on me.
However, the message from Spalding MacDonalds was passed on, and Martin Redmill did contact me, and promised to look into it, he seemed quite empathetic, acknowledged that some people just weren't looking for the parking limitation signs, and some people had legitimate reasons to outstay the 90-minute allocated time limit, such as breakdowns etc. But due to inappropriate use of the car park in the past he had pretty much been forced to monitor parking. He also said that in these circumstances he could ring Met Parking and, in most cases, get them to overturn the fine. That was about 3 weeks ago, and since then... Radio silence...
I was hoping that this issue would have been resolved amicably, but after 3 weeks I am now less than hopeful that a good dose of common sense will prevailI as there seems no urgency for MacDonalds to support their...
Read moreMother overstayed by 18 minutes and is now facing a £100 fine. Mcdonalds parking company send customers parking fines for parking for food!!
NOT ONLY WILL I NEVER RETURN TO THIS RESTAURANT, I WILL NEVER SPEND MONEY IN MCDONALD'S AGAIN FOR AS LONG AS I LIVE.
How bad is that? Go to the restaurant to buy food, park in the car park for a couple of hours to meet up with someone then order food which we had to send back and wait for a reorder to arrive only to end up getting a parking fine. The time it took to get the food and send it back for a reorder was the 18 minutes which took her over. NOT FAIR!
Met my mother here for food but I was running late so she was there longer than the premitted 90 minutes. Obviously didnt realise there was a short stopping time. Ordered food when I got there which I had to take back due to all being luke warm. Terrible experience and not the only time I've been here and had a stressful situation. All staff hide in the kitchen and barely want to make contact with customers. The place is being run by...
Read moreThis is possibly the worst Mcdonalds I've ever visited. On 3 seperate occasions over the past year this store has failed in service.
First time my family came over to visit stopping in on route and my nephew said he felt I'll and didnt finish his happy meal as he said the chicken nuggets weren't nice. When I checked they smelt off and looked undercooked. He was then sick all night and very ill the following day.
I ordered a big Mac a month later thinking it was a one off. We then drove out and it was stone cold. I would've gone back in but I was in a hurry hence the drive through. The latest issue was I ordered a sausage mcmuffin and specified No round egg. Yet was served it with egg. Again this was on route to work and did not have time to go back in.
I have not been back to this store since and do not intend to in the future, neither have any of my family since this issue. I will stress it is an issue with this store and not Mcdonalds as a company as other stores have been great we now stop at the newark...
