Cinnamon Central — Restaurant in North West Leicestershire

Cinnamon Central was recommended to us by a neighbour. Am pleased to agree with their enthusiasm for this bijou restaurant. Located on Belvoir Road in Coalville, this converted hairdressers premises caters for about 28 people in a comfortable quirky environment (checkout the artificial flower wall). The premises are not licensed and you are invited to bring your own alcohol if you so wish. At the time of writing, it was also cash only, with the nearest cashpoint a couple of minutes away in town. My wife and I had not booked (recommended as even midweek it was busy), but were fortunately accommodated by Ali, the charming and chatty owner. Starters of veg samosa and onion bhaji were tasty (despite the former looking like freezer fayre) but were followed by delicious and generously portioned mains. The Goan fish curry was full of delicately cooked fish in a mildly spiced sauce and was accompanied with an order of cauliflower bhaji which was also top drawer. The veg pilau rice was full of tasty veg (the ghee probably had a part to play in this) and the peshwari naan had just the right amount of coconut sweetness. My wife's chicken korma was rich and creamy. All in all, an excellent meal. Service was great also. Am happy to recommend. Free car park nearby after 5pm. Update @Oct 2024: Winning a Best Restaurant award at the Curry Life Awards, means Cinnamon Central is getting more popular. We visited midweek and all was well, but best book a table if you want to be guaranteed one...

I had an amazing experience at Cinnamon Central! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by friendly staff who made me feel right at home. The restaurant has a cozy and inviting atmosphere, with beautiful decor that creates a warm and welcoming environment.

But the real star of the show was the food! I ordered the chicken tikka masala and it was absolutely delicious. The sauce was rich and creamy, with just the right amount of spice, and the chicken was cooked to perfection. The garlic naan was also amazing, warm and fluffy with just the right amount of garlic flavor.
