La Zouch Coffee House Restaurant & Cellars — Restaurant in North West Leicestershire

We didn't eat there, as we discovered the place after dinner... Just visited the 'cellar' (which extends to the first floor!) -- and what a great time we had! The owners were excellent company, knowledgeable, and they have a huge range of wines, whiskies, gins and so on. Not only that, but they know where, when and how of pretty much everything they sell. Basically the visit was the crown for our visit to the town, we left with a few goodies too!

Next time we'll definitely know where to go to have dinner, in the meantime, for any enthusiast of fine wines, this is definitely the place...

Met at door, I was the last in out of a group of 7. Then asked the waiter for a table to which I was told he couldn't do 7.

The restaurant was empty and he didn't explain or apologise. We left and stood outside whilst we watched the waiter return to a table, sit and drink coffee. They may well of been fully booked but without explanation we were left feeling as if we were not welcome or the right type of clientèle.

Meeting with family from Yorkshire (us from Berkshire), this turned out to be a brilliant choice for a Sunday lunch together.
