Waited half hour before 1st drink came then long wait for food. Very unimpressive plain food, average tasting. I'd have enjoyed a takeaway burger much more. The children's food was absolutely rubbish. No thought gone into the noodle dish at all. Like something you'd rustle up in a hurry at home. Small portions. Extremely poor value for money overall. Should have read previous reviews more carefully. Staff were reasonably friendly, especially one young fellow (Bryn?) A delightful chap a credit to his parents.
Ok, Went for a 2nd visit as we had remaining vouchers. This time had pizza. Very tasty. Was nice & full afterwards & my coffee had an extra shot at no extra charge. So upgrading from the 1 star to 3. Service was a bit faster too.
DOWN TO ONE STAR. 3rd visit. As the pizza was very good last time thought to have another. Ordered the 4 cheese one & upgraded it to 'prima'. Again yet another reason to be very unimpressed. The thin pastry was very nice but way too dry in parts because the amount of cheese was negligible. For the price I'd say that was paramount to a rip off. Not much more that one would expect on a cheap Aldi pizza. One would expect a fairly generous helping of the '4''??? cheeses as that's all it comes with. Could probably have scraped it off to about a couple of table spoons at best if that. Will NEVER go there again. The only plus point the coffee was good & I asked for it to be very hot & it was. Sorry it's a pretty damning review but one would expect a lot, lot more when going for a pizza in a restaurant of this calibre especially when upgrading...
Read moreWe went last night to celebrate mu husbands actual birthday. We had pre booked and arrived 5 mins early to see 5 dirty tables that were left dirty all evening. There were only 2 chefs, 1 waitress and the Manageress I think working. Service was slow, the waitress moped around oblivious to the dirty tables. People wanting to order, food stacking up. Infact I notice she went missing twice for long periods of time. That was before she went missing permanently!! The food was actually delicious, hot and tasty. At one point there were 8 plus meals waiting to go out to the customers. Infact a chef came out and took food to a table. People were sat forgotten. People were sat with dessert menus yet no-one went to them to take their order. People wanted to order drinks. My husbands glass had lipstick on it. We asked for it to be changed. He ended up with a small glass as obviously all the pint glasses were sat on dirty tables. BUT despite all the above the Manageress was so polite, and really did her best. Read moreNot giving my son change when he paid cash. His card didn't work on your card machine and did not ask for a pin. The staff then continued hastling his partner who stayed behind whilst he went to get the cash. The servers not mentioning that you would not supply change. Even though my son told them he was going to get cash from a cash machine.
They then kept the £19 change and this just felt unprofessional. Both my son and his partner work In customer service based roles and are very disappointed with the service given when they were in a difficult situation.
I'm sure this is not the first time a card has or will be declined and it won't be the last.
After running around the town and getting a family member to lend some cash he felt it was too much to fight it there and then in the restaurant as his partner was very upset and anxious as she suffers from major anxiety and at this point was in the middle of a panic attack.
