Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Northern Ireland

One of my worst Costa experiences so far. I asked for a green tea and in the background I could see one of the members of staff having to change the teapot because of it leaking. So I got my new pot of tea to the table, then I realised this pot was leaking to. So i took it back to the counter and asked for a replacement, it was replaced but with no apology. They also were going to give me my tray back wich I brought to the counter that was full of water. I was giving a latte style glass cup for my green tea that's fine, but not when it was absolutely stinking it's not. Rather than go back to the counter and ask for a replacement cup I used the steam from my teapot to clean my cup. I also purchased a overpriced caramel square and the reason for being overpriced it was not very nice. My table was also dirty and overall impressions of the place or not very good. I would look over the matter of this if it was busy or in the late afternoon but this was 5-10 mins after opening on a Sunday. Would not...

The flat white is quite good. My wife and I sometimes choose this place over other coffee venues because there are seats available. More a reflection of the amount of seating available, not the coffee quality. Wait can be quite long. Staff can be a little morose, for which I dont blame them. I have no doubt their general demeanour is a reflection of their low pay. However I think they try their best in what can be quite hectic circumstances. Which brings me to the noise. Why such a racket to make a cup of coffee? I know it's the equipment they use. But surely there must be a quieter way. Overall experience is just ok. But we both disagree on the coffee. My wife thinks it's just ok whilst I think it is good. This place, in common with all the other similar trendy spots never fails to meet my expectations in one very important respect. I've been visiting this morning to get the hot chocolate from the Christmas menu. Unfortunately I have dealt with the rudest customer service ever. I didn't feel welcomed, my order was just set in the front of me without a word.
