This is the 1st time in a long time since I've been here. My 1st experience was very good but this time however I was disappointed. Not disappointed by the food by any means so compliments to the chef, it was the staff that were a bit of a let down. From the minute we walked in understandably we had to wait to be seated so that was fine, however 1 of the staff members that were behind the counter looked up seen us standing there and put her head back down and carried on what she was doing. Stood for about 5 minutes before being seated and the place wasn't even busy I would have overlooked that if it was. When we were seated it took the waiting staff a good 10minutes before coming over to ask did we want drinks and then a further 10-15 minutes before someone came and took our food order. Whilst we waited a bit longer to get our food it was worth the wait so I couldn't fault that. Most staff when it comes to places once your food is served they normally return to see if everything is ok with food etc.., but not one staff member even asked nor did they ask when going up to pay the bill. In fact at least 4/5 staff members were huddled round the back of the bar chatting away when there were other customers waiting to place their orders. There was one girl In particularly that looked round at me and shot me a dirty look and turned round to her colleagues for no apparent reason so don't know what her problem was, almost felt like I was an inconvenience even being there because I was disturbing them chatting. Anywhere I go I would usually tip the waiting staff for their service but on this occasion I didn't. Service needed an awful lot to be desired. Read moreDecided to come back and give bubba drews another chance after poor service in 2023 and wish I hadn't. Got to the restaurant yesterday (mothers day) as I had a reservation for 18:30, there was no record of my booking despite calling and my phone number being taken down, but we managed to get seated. After ordering our drinks, it took 13 mins for drinks to be servers and 50 mins for our food to reach us. I had ordered a philly cheese steak sandwich and got battered steak pieces on facia bread with melted cheese on the bread, where you would expect sliced steak. Food was OK, not great. We had finished our meal and I had to flag down our waitress as it was 15mins after we had finished to try and order desserts. Ordered desserts with a tea and an American, desserts arrived but the tea/coffee never made an appearance until I had to ask for it 15mins later. What's worse is I had spotted 5 waiters/waitresses chatting casually behind the counter for 10mins while waiting for the tea and coffee and while the restaurant was heaving with customers. The cherry on top, I go to pay the bill and a staff member who had just taken payment from another customer decided to ignore me for 2 mins while chatting to other staff until he seen I was unimpressed then decided to take payment. This place is badly managed and needs to change or I can see the restaurant closing down. Read moreTook ages to be seated, Mains came after sharing stater, with 2 champ and cubes as sides couldn't eat them champ was hard and had a big skin on it, cubes had next to no garlic and were hard. Finished our mains, left the 3 sides! stacked the plates at the end of the table, waited 25mins before a friendly lady came over to say I noticed yous sitting there would yous like anything else, told her about the sides, she said did your server not check on you, no he didn't. She called another girl over to clear plates and left the sides on the table, called the guy over who was friendly too she said he was doing the floors. Explained to him about the sides he said he would tell the chef. Came back with dessert menu never mentioned what chef said. Dessert brownie tasted burnt, the strawberry meringue, 3 little tiny crumbs of meringue on top of far too much cream & about 1 strawberry cut up £6.99 for ice-cream and cream. Was disappointed the last time we went over 8 months ago but gave the benefit of the doubt by going tonight. Needless to say we won't be back. Lack of service, (mayb understaffed 🤷🏼♀️), communication, the loud scraping of chairs and tables being pulled out to clean around and the poor food plus minus the lack of an apology...
