My order was not delivered, however the status of the order said 'delivered'. I contacted Eatao, the restaurant I ordered from and they were extremely unhelpful and said that once the food leaves their restaurant, it's out of their hands. I do not understand this at all as they have a partnership with Just Eat and so should be able to do something/care about the customer.
When I tried to get through to Just Eat both via phone and live chat, neither were responsive I finally called another number thay brought me through to someone who offered to help, and they reluctantly issued me a refund after having to push on the phone. As a customer, I was made to feel like there was no solution and the restaurant and Just Eat were passing blame onto each other the whole time.
Mean while, there is nowhere in the app that shows the location or ID of the delivery driver. This has really ruined my whole experience ordering from both the restaurant and Just Eat. How will I know this isn't going to happen again?All I know is that if it does happen again, it will be extremely difficult to get a solution.
I just arrived from holiday and had no food in my fridge today and was really looking forward to ordering from Eattao as I love their food as a treat, and this is what happened. Meanwhile I was charged £20 and left with no food and thr restaurant was not willing to replace my order or help in any way. The Manager just said they don't help because this happens all the time to them. My question is; if this happens all the time then why are you still partnering with this service/not doing anything about it? The Manager seemed okay with her customers not receiving their food and not knowing who is taking the food for delivery.
On the phone, Just Eat finally were able to issue a refund which arrived the next day. However by the time this was issued all the restaurants in my area were closed so there was no way for me to order again.
I want to stress how difficult it is to get in contact with Just Eat, there is no number to call on the app, and Google returns multiple incorrect numbers. There is a live chat, which the person on the phone told me to use as they said they wouldn't be able to help me, but the live chat never worked. My message has not been read or responded to. Read moreEdit to review: Manager/Owner contacted me and worked out a solution to the problem, which was that there is new trainee front of house being trained and apologized. Also informed me that in future if I have an issue with portion sizes to inform the server to top up the box.
Went in this afternoon to get some dinner with my partner, We are regular customers so we know what the portions should be like; Watched the girl lift the pieces of smoked chicken 1-2 pieces at a time and give me a tiny portion. Ordered a tub of curry, which was a 1/4 full. Which normally comes full to the top or at the least just below the rim.
My partners box was fine but was filled by a different member of staff.
Food always tastes good and service is normally top notch....
