Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Northern Ireland

I'm very disappointed with the northern Ireland branches. There's little food in the way for vegans. No tomato soup, no toffee and pecan cookies, and the only other options are around £2 for a small flapjack which would last about two bites. On the plus side there's still soya milk, but sort it out Costa - no cakes or savoury food available for vegans. Just not good enough. Edited: November 2019. I'm happy to increase my rating from 2 to 4. The manager contacted me on my Google review and informed me that they now stock tea cakes, chocolate cookies and rocky road which are all suitable for vegans. I tried the cookie which was nice but dry. I'm glad the member of staff suggested heating it in the microwave for a few seconds, it made all the difference. The rocky road is delicious! I've been back for several since! The manager said that rocky road is just on for the holiday season but the staff seemed to think it's staying on the menu. I wait in anticipation. I'd like to add that this is exactly why it's worth writing reviews, good or bad, so that the company can get back to you and resolve issues. I was in Strabane with my work mate today at 1:30 pm getting a takeaway coffee I went to put sugar into my coffee and the trolley moved coffee spilled over floor I was so embarrassed told a Costa worker wat had happened tryed to clean it up with blue roll myself. The dark haired girl came over spoke very loud and rudely said move out of way and I was so embarrassed the rest of the coffee shop heard her speak to me in that tone of voice. I got a refill of coffee went over to apologize again and she told me to move out of way again in a loud manner I walked out and a customer approach me and said are you ok did you get burnt I said no the customer also said that the staff member was ignorant I will never be back in Strabane Costa again they need to improve there customer skills big time. I don't have to update my review very often. I must do this to appreciate the wonderful service provided by a young man named Jay. Costa Strabane should be proud to have such an employee. Extremely polite, helpful, serving customers with a smile on his face. Top customer service. Highly recommended. We'll visit you soon. I would like to draw the attention of Costa Coffee, it is not enough to have great employees. A nice, clean interior attracts customers.
