Ground Espresso Bars — Restaurant in Northern Ireland

I visited this 'Ground' before Christmas with my little dog. The girl was extremely courteous and helpful and prepared some bacon for my little dog while we had lunch.

We returned today and sat at the same seat. The employee rushed down and greeted me with 'dogs not allowed' despite the fact there was a Schnauzer roaming around the shop on a long lead. When I pointed this out to the young 'lady', her reply was "service dog". The little canine in question had no harness and no labels to indicate it was a 'service dog'.

If the establishment is not dog friendly, that is fine. I can live with that. However the attitude of that member was nothing short of abrupt and bordering on obnoxious.

This particular 'Ground' is not only non dog friendly, it is also no human friendly.

Personally I enjoy ground coffee especially at the ground in Coleraine train station, I been served by Leah in the ground on Long Commons on many occasions she does her job well but her customer care skills is zero, never a please or thank you its just what can I get ya or yes, tells you the price then sets your loyalty card and change on the counter instead of passing it into your hand and its tricky trying to lift change when you have sore hands and a queue behind you getting frustrated, if you go to the counter looking a glass or an extra butter etc it's never done with a smile, the other staff are lovely and pleasent and make you feel welcome, if she knows you she'll talk away to you, if the ground in translink had a bigger seating area I would go there...

SERVED ROTTEN CHICKEN! Had a chicken panini and wished I hadn't... My sense of smell is not what it was so it was only after a couple of bites I realised that the chicken was seriously rotten. Really very badly off. I returned it and declined an offer of another one 🙄 They refunded me. But now I'm waiting for the consequences...🤮🤮🤮 I'll never be back 🤮🤮🤮 Oh and my sister told me when she went to the toilet before we left the toilet seat was covered in excrement.... Wonderful place...
