Pear Tree — Restaurant in Northern Ireland

Ordered strawb smoothie & bacon, cheese, tomato and red onion toastie. Said numerous times that I was taking out because I was in a rush (out with bro, sis in law & baby). Firstly I was served by a new starter who didn't know how to use the till & was given no help or instruction despite there being three other staff members, then he told me to go sit & they would bring it to me even tho it was takeout 👍 Then came back to me on three occasions to ask what salad I wanted with it (wasn't aware it came with salad), if I wanted butter or mayo and if I wanted toasted, then I was asked if I had ordered the smoothie which they had served in a glass as if was sit in, then it was brought to me in a takeaway cup with smoothie spilled all down the side and it was the WORST smoothie. The toastie was delicious and the salad was nice but I paid almost a tenner for a terrible smoothie and a slow sandwich. The cafe was by no means busy so to leave a new starter to fend for himself...

We went for breakfast after reading the amazing reviews online but we were extremely disappointed. The portions are tiny for the exorbitant prices, and although they’ve said online and on their menu that they have vegan/vegetarian options available but when we inquired about it nothing was available which was extremely disappointing. We then finally ordered cappuccino’s and eggs Florentine. The cappuccino came in what looked like an espresso mug looking at its size and I have never had raw spinach underneath my poached eggs, I can’t say that that was pleasant to eat. Fantastic, the photos of food did it justice on the Google search and all expectations were met.

I must say, these were the best pancakes with bacon I have ever had. The balance was perfection, with quality bacon, tasty pancakes and a decent pot full of maple syrup. If I wasn't in a rush to be elsewhere, I'd of had a secound helping.

Great friendly service, and didn't have to wait long for food to arrive.

My friends Irish Stew looked very wholesome too.

I wish I put more effort into the photography, but I couldn't wait to tuck in.

If I visit this part of the world again, I'll definitely be here for another...
