Juliano's — Restaurant in Northern Ireland

Horrible experience today where I had gone to meet up with a couple of friends at julianos! We had purchased our desserts and drinks when we came in and enjoyed them the food is lovely I have always came here for white hot chocolate. But today left me with a bitter taste in my mouth when I was totally horrified and embarrassed in the middle of the cafe when we were leaving asking if I had payed for one of my items and Which I had presented at the till point the first time around ! Horrified being confronted about something like this in front of customers and staff left me feeling very uneasy and payed for the item as it was a misunderstanding and a mistake made by a staff member but the way it was handled by staff and the embarrassment I received because of the awful way the situation was handled was terrible and I wouldn’t feel comfortable returning...

Normally this place is great but not impressed with our last visit which we just walked out. Went to order a piece of chocolate cake (last slice left on display) nobody else was in the queue in from of us in the 5 mins we waited when we went to order the girls mumbled between them and then turned around and said no it's just sold. Who too is the question. I can only assume one of the girls was wanting to keep it for when they ended their shift but if this was the case take it off...

In this evening for a waffle and a catch up with a friend. At £7.20 for 1 single waffle with topping and single small scoop ice cream i thought this was very expensive. However it was the wiping/cleaning of tables that really put me off my food. A very strong grapefruity or something smell from the spray they use. You can taste it each time it is sprayed at a nearby table. Probably won't rush back for a sit in but it won't stop me heading back in for take...
