This establishment was recommended to me when we were staying at a bed-and-breakfast. I walked in Tuesday night and sat in a booth waiting for a menu or somebody to ask me if I needed anything I waited over 10 minutes during this time they threw out a homeless woman So I assumed it was the chaos going on that nobody noticed. I was sitting there. It was not that busy at this time Eventually, I stood up to go to the bar and order something and ask where I can get Wi-Fi because your phone will get absolutely no service because this is in a basement The owner was talking to some of his friends or Colleagues and refused to look at me or make eye contact with me. I waited for several minutes for the server who was behind the bar at this time to ask me if I’d like anything and she would not make eye contact with me I went and sat back down at my table and this time I tried to wave her down a couple times and she refused to acknowledge me When my friend came in, he was able to go right up to the bar and order us two drinks, but I refuse to stay at this establishment since they were rude and did not want to give me service. I have been all over Ireland from top to bottom and from side side, and never have I been in an establishment where the owner and the serves Were so rude and unwelcoming. I could not tell you how the food is because I never got an opportunity to order anything I would give this place zero stars, but it doesn’t give...
Read moreWent in for kiwis wings, tried to phone ahead to make sure it was available, no ans, got there and there was no wings available, fine, they made the dish with chicken tenders which was nice enough £4 more expensive per serving but at the time I wasn’t overly bothered by it, we then ordered the footling hot dogs with salt and chilli fries. The hot dogs are use for nothing but the dogs dinner, greasy and no flavour, some soggy onions and some jam flavoured salsa. The salt&chilli fries were fries covered in chilli flakes and very large salt flakes, could clearly see it had been damp stored and was just large lumps of salt. The service was mediocre at best. The man that told me the wings were not available didn’t even look up from his phone and it felt like a hassle for the boy behind the bar to take our order. Not impressed at all, the meal alone was £60 which was ridiculously overpriced for what it was. Absolutely terrible place for food, I’m a local and won’t...
Read moreKiwi's was the easily the best craft beer bar we visited during our 2 week trip around Ireland. To start, the owner was incredibly helpful - he allowed me to use his phone (I even had to take it outside to get a signal) to call our B&B and inform them that we would be arriving late to check in.
The selection of craft beer was great, particularly the bottles.
My family and I had dinner at Kiwi's and man was it good. The buffalo wings were probably the best I've ever had, and the meat and cheese plate was great too.
Everything was priced reasonably, and the music playlist was good.
Thanks for a great...
