Chico's Diner — Restaurant in Northern Ireland

An absolute shambles of service and food today. We arrived when the place was very quiet. (about 7 occupied tables and I'd say, and 15 people seated in total.. Not exactly hectic!) It took 10 mins to be offered a menu then a further 10/12 mins for the waitress to come back for our order to be taken. I should have left at this point because the food when it did eventually arrive was abismal(had to be at least another 20 mins!) . I ordered scrambled eggs beans and toast.. The eggs were microwaved to death and there wasn't even butter for my toast and the beans were at best luke warm.my wife ordered a filled baked potato and my son ordered the ulster fry.. Both meals tasted and looked extremely bland. In summary, a really poor effort! .i don't know what's going on behind the scenes, but they'd surely need to review how things are being...

Not quite what it once was. This was comfortably 4/5 stars a few years ago. Same ownership but the food quality has dropped off a cliff and so has the service.

The fish and chips, chicken fillet burger were still okay but not what it once was. Fish seems a lot smaller than it used to be too.

The servers were all young girls about 17-25, which is fine im general but they really seemed today like they couldn't care less. We waited minimum 10 minutes for a menu whilst young girls chatted behind the counter. They seen us come in and sit down. Another was in and out of the bathroom and another table taht was already eating was asked if they were okay. This is unacceptable.

It's a real shame as a lurgan local to have this happening a once fine diner.

Didn't have any issues with the heat of the food etc as some orders have...

I have been going to malonys for a few years now but after this evening i will never be back. I ordered a chicken goujon meal and curry sauce which came too £8.80. I asked for a receipt which stated "7" goujons, so i decided to say nothing. I got home and opened my goujon meal to find a couple of lumps of chicken which would have broke your teeth. Tasted like they were cooked for a new years party last year and only heated up again now! Im glad there wasnt 7 goujons as i dont think i could have stomached them. They were Accompanied by what i can only descibe as soggy oily bits of potato. Front of house service is absolutely disgraceful and Cooks need there heads looked at if thats the standard of food they produce. Extremely...
