Having gone to Masala Hut almost weekly since it opened, I can say I don't think I will ever be back. One member of staff was rude all evening, snatching the drink menu away as we were not all drinking, almost dropping plates on us as he was in such a rush to get them onto the table and then practically tipping us out of our chairs in his haste to accommodate the next booking (despite it being half an hour earlier than we had been told when booking). We were a party of 5 but we and the party of 6 who had gone the night before on our recommendation will not return, I e- mailed first to give them the opportunity to at least apologise but they must not reply to e-mails either (hence the review which could have been avoided). Since it's recent redecoration you'll find bottles of water on the table- these aren't free of charge, a reduced but more expensive menu and a change in one member of staff but not all. Our usual waiter greeted us on arrival and asked after the family. Sadly this place has gone downhill and when questioned about his attitude the little rude waiter lost his tongue. I apologise at this lengthy review but can barely believe the change in the place....

Went on a weekend day and we were the only patrons, and that was up to 7pm which is probably a 🚩
The restaurant was freezing when we walked in, almost felt as cold, if not colder than outside - my coat stayed on the whole time. Said had tried to book a table online twice and then emailed them to no reply - advised when we walked in that the system was broken…
Service was kinda abrupt. They asked about drinks - there was wine glasses on the table - but advised they don’t serve alcohol?! I don’t remember seeing either online or on menu if it was BYO? Poppadoms and sauces were ok, one with onion had a bit that was quite large and needed chopped smaller.
We had chicken tikka masala, which had very little sauce and chicken was tough. The chicken rogan josh was ok - observed by fellow dinner to be an unusual colour and again chicken was tough. Very poor flavouring - the salt shaker on the table perhaps also should have been a 🚩. Naan bread was not soft and fluffy - only on the edges, so was quite disappointing. Food cooled very quickly. Pilau rice was fine.
Overall, a very disappointing experiencing, it’s hard to recommend or have a...
Read moreThe gentleman who met us at the door and who gave us our table thought he was doing us a favour, the cutlery was reached over to my wife in a fashion that even Mc Donalds would have thought was poor ! the water was brought to the table in a bottle and not poured when I asked for a soda water and lime he proudly broadcasted "no soda water". The price for 2 courses which we shared and a coke was £44. When we went the gentleman behind the counter seemed to question us as to how we paid ,my wife assured the man that the entire bill was paid on the saucer on the table / he then announced that we had indeed the wrong bill to which I announced yes that I thought it was expensive. He then highlighted that either we were owed a pound or we owed him a pound! Im sorry sir on a Sunday I dont have the strength for such nonsense. Pretty much a v bad experience the waiter must go and go immediately. Any body can make a mistake. Bad manners and incompetence has no place in this market segment I would have thought. If you think Im putting up with that my friend u aint on...
