Mayur is, without a doubt, the best Indian food I have ever had. Since opening in February, it has become my go-to for takeaways and they have never missed a trick. The food is consistently tasty, generously portioned and packed with flavour. The staff are also always so warm and welcoming, and the service is top-notch every single time, even over the phone.

One thing I've noticed, and actually love, is that the dishes here are a bit spicier than what you'd typically find at other Indian restaurants. As someone who usually orders a madras, I've learned to ask for it "medium" at Mayur, and even the korma comes with a wee kick that you wouldn't expect.

While the waiting times can be a bit longer on weekends, it’s clear that this is simply because the word is out that Mayur is unreal! I personally don’t mind a slightly longer wait for food of this standard.

All in all, Mayur is a wee gem within Larne, for both dining and takeaway. It’s consistently delivers on quality, flavour, and service. Cannot recommend it...

Visiting Larne for the first time with my family from the West Coast of Canada. Mayur was recommended to us but our Airbnb host & this was some of the best Indian food we have ever had! It rivalled many of the best Indian restaurants we’ve been too around the world. The food was incredibly flavourful, not too rich or spicy (for those of us who couldn’t handle spice). The service and food were all extremely well done, far exceeding my expectations. The owner was extremely welcoming, stopping by our table to chat and asking our opinions on the service, food, and any changes/additions we would recommend on the menu. Likewise the level of service and professionalism from the rest of the staff was stellar.

I recently had the Paneer Shashlik Sizzler at Mayur in Larne, and it was absolutely delicious. The paneer was perfectly grilled—soft on the inside with a lovely char on the outside—and served sizzling hot with fresh peppers, onions, and a rich, aromatic sauce. The flavours were beautifully balanced, with just the right amount of spice to make each bite exciting without overpowering the dish.
