Visited this place for the first time today, the food was amazing. Well worth a visit if you’re in the area and like seafood(you wont be disappointed). Portions are massive at a reasonable price, the staff are super friendly and inviting. I will most certainly be back sooner rather than later. Thanks for my amazing visit and keep up the good work.

Had the best impromptu dinner here. Cod and Haddock supper with a side of Scampi. Not too greasy, nice batter, fresh fish. Scampi was best I’d had in a long time. Slightly pricey but good quality and massive portions. Couple of tables to eat inside and a few benches outside.

Great selection of fish. I had the hake supper, and my partner had a chicken burger (there is your classic cod/haddock but also sole and pollock - hard to find elsewhere). Both used quality ingredients, and they were succulent and tasty. Would highly recommend.

Been to this place twice and was disappointed both times. Can't understand the high reviews based on my experience. Not sure if they are inconsistent but I did see a few reviews that aligned with my experience. Chips overcooked and quite greasy. Think the problem is they are fried twice but the first fry has them basically done rather than prepped for the final fry. So you're basically getting refried chips. Not sure what oil they're using but doesn't seem too fresh although it could just be the cooking method or potato they are using. Also potatoes taste of very little and loads of little scraggly chips. Fish quality seemed good but very little flavour, batter was bland and not very crispy (and quite small). Peas also didn't taste the best, again no seasoning. Just seemed to lack any care or attention to detail. These guys need to taste their food. I'd recommend they take a trip into Belfast to Cafe Fish or John Longs to see how fish and chips should be done. This was a wee treat for my wife and I and I was annoyed it was wasted on this to be honest. Maybe their other stuff is better but anything with their bad chips ain't gonna turn out too good. I'm sure they can do better but don't think I'll give them another try...

Was told about this wee place by a friend so took a run down from South Belfast.

I wasn't disappointed.

The wait was 10-15 mins after ordering, happy enough with that, thats how you know things are cooked fresh, portions were bigger than most takeaway places the fish on both Cod suppers was cooked perfectly and was without doubt the thickest fish I have ever had. Good load of chips in the box, that were also cooked to perfection. In all honesty I really enjoyed the food, to the point the seagulls will have nothing to hoke for.

The menu had a varied range of seafood dishes as well as all the traditional chippy items, so the next time I visit, and I will visit again, have to try something not always seen on a chippy menu, what that is, who knows.

Well worth the run down.

Well done Ruddy...

Ordered 1 haddock and 1 haddock supper tonight for our tea expecting something exceptional according to the reviews on here but boy was I disappointed. £14.60 for 2 small fish with overcooked batter and chips were OK. As chip shops go it was OK but not as good as the reviews make out. So disappointing when you have been looking forward to something and let down. Think I will stick with Mcclements in millisle 😋 or the galley in Carnlough 😋 value for money and good sized portions oh and they always have onion rings 🤔 sorry...
