I recently visited Alexanderâs Pub in Holywood, and unfortunately had a disappointing experience with a member of the staff. Toward the end of the evening, as closing time approached, a staff member approached me and asked if I was planning to order more drinks. I explained that I wasnât finished with my current drink. However, his attitude quickly became aggressive, and he demanded that I leave, even though I had already paid for my drink.
When I expressed my unhappiness with how I was being treated, the situation escalated further. The staff member threatened to call the police, and when I tried to capture the exchange on video, my phone died unexpectedly. He then took my phone, which made me feel very uncomfortable and hurt.
I hope this was an isolated incident, as it certainly affected my experience at Alexanderâs Pub. I would appreciate it if the management takes note of how interactions with customers are handled, particularly during closing times, to ensure that everyone feels welcome...

Another waitress then said "oh you have a booking (said my daughters name) your table is upstairs". We were happy with this. Menus given and drinks ordered. No mention of Happy Hour Cocktails - even though this was explained to the table next to us. My wifes food came first and then the waitress proceeded to serve another customer before bringing mine! Food was good - which was just as well - because no-one checked....
