Went through the drive thru today, ordered 1 large tea with milk and 2 sugars, 1 regular tea with milk and 1 sugar, and while trying to order a sweet treat was told only what was on the menu was available. This menu by the way was extremely limited with about 12 options total out of what was available in store. When we had decided, the server was too busy having a conversation with a colleague to take the rest of our order. When we pulled up to the window we were handed a load of brown sugar sachets that were burst and dropping sugar everywhere. Note that we had ordered Tea, not coffee! When I mentioned this I was told they were out of white sugar. How does a coffee place, as big as Starbucks run out of sugar??! I was offered some sweetener which I accepted, and again was spilling everywhere like I had an unsavoury cocaine habit in my vehicle. Then we were handed 1 large tea, which we found to have 2 teabags left in and not much milk, and our sweet treat. After that our server disappeared, probably for a smoke break, without saying a word. We waited 2 mins before informing another staff member that we were still waiting on the regular tea. The staff member immediately handed it to us as it was left sitting on the counter as if ready to go. We drove off with our overpriced purchase and when we got to our destination found that the regular tea with milk and 1 sugar had neither, and was like tar because the tea bag was left in, as was the large tea. For such a simple order I failed to see how they could get it so wrong, and the service left alot to be desired too. If they don't want to deal with people then don't work in the service industry. Tim Hortons seem to know what they're doing, go...
Read moreLast night I was getting my mother a drink from starbucks, and she asked for a dirty chai, which is a chai latte with a shot of espresso.
When I tried to order it on the app however, I did not have any option to add this extra shot of espresso to the chai whatsoever, so when I got to the drive thru speaker, I had to ask to add it to the chai myself.
When I got up to the window, thatâs when what I assume was the supervisor said that it would be an extra charge for the espresso. This is when I revealed that I had a starbucks gold membership, where one of the perks granted is âa free extra shot of espressoâ
The supervisor then said that because I had ordered them separately I had to pay. Which to me doesnât make remotely any sense??? The app had no feasible way to add an extra shot of espresso to the chai, so because of that I have to pay because I had no choice but to order them separately??
After trying again to explain that I had gold and I should be entitled to a free espresso she seemed adamant that her opinion wasnât changing. So to get my mothers order correct I had no choice but to pay the extra ÂŁ2.35 for an espresso shot in my drink?! Keep in mind normally they charge ÂŁ0.65 for an extra shot?!
I am absolutely appalled at this blatant robbery. Being forced to pay ÂŁ2 extra for something I had no choice in despite it being free due to the gold membership. It makes me wonder how many times this has happened to people wanting dirty chaiâs and now their ÂŁ5 drink has turned into ÂŁ7?!
I very much doubt I will be using a starbucks until the app is fixed as it was the root of...
Read moreDrove from Ballymena as my daughter wanted a particular drink and it was out of normal hours and the drive thru was the only outlet open. My wife also got a drink that she had previously purchased at another Starbucks.
Well what a complete disaster from start to finish. Order was rushed to begin with. Wouldnât let my daughter speak before talking over her, without a please or thank you. When we got to the pay/collection window, we were ignored until they were ready to take payment, (there was at least 4 members of staff present), at this point we werenât welcomed, just the order repeated and a price given, again no please or thank you. My change was literally thrown at me and again no interaction. When drinks were ready, they again were practically thrown at me and no conversation once again. No order labels were attached to any of the drinks so I have no information of who we dealt with. My daughterâs drink was ok but my wifeâs was in her words tasteless. I understand that it was 30 minutes before they closed and they may have had a busy day but there is no excuses for the way we were treated. Starbucks is an international brand and has a reputation for providing a customer service experience but on this occasion they...
