I had a brilliant experience at The Ritz Bar on Spencer Road , easily one of the best spots around! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm, relaxed, and welcoming. There’s a great local buzz to the place, the kind that makes you want to settle in and stay a while.

A huge shoutout to Katrina and Deedee — they absolutely made my day. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely lovely, they brought so much positive energy and made everyone feel right at home. Service like that is rare and really stands out.

The food was excellent too — well-cooked, flavourful, and just the right balance of hearty and fresh. Whether you’re popping in for a bite or planning a full evening out, the menu delivers.

I might be a bit bias rating the ritz as I have been coming here for literally all my life my eg. christening party was held here I reckon I was there every paddy's day and when I turned 18 almost every weekend, I'm sure most people are the same with their own local pub. They have dart boards and a pool table and they have live music nights a small dance floor but a dance floor none the less, good selection of beers on tap and now offering a cocktail menu. For those rare sunny days in derry the patio is the place to be in the waterside. They also have a great menu recently expanded as well as serving food until 9pm.
