We absolutely fell in love with Tweedie Pies in Whitehead! From the very first visit, it felt like we’d stumbled into something truly special. The little shop is full of charm, warmth, and the most heavenly smells. But what really made it unforgettable—besides those life-changing spiced mince thingys—was the kindness of the baker. Every time we popped in (which turned into a daily tradition!), the baker greeted us with a smile and a little something new to try. Whether it was a warm bite of pie fresh from the oven or a sample of something sweet and experimental, it felt like a treat just for us. That kind of generosity and enthusiasm for sharing their craft made us feel so welcome, like regulars even though we were just visiting. And yes—those spiced mince thingys. We can’t rave enough. Perfectly golden pastry, deeply savoury filling, just the right amount of spice… honestly, we’re still dreaming about them. One taste and we were hooked. We came for a quick bite and left with full bellies, big smiles, and a genuine connection to a place we’ll never forget. Tweedie Pies is the kind of spot that makes you wish you lived around the corner. We already can’t wait to go back.

The best bakery around by far. Should it be buns , fresh cream buns , cakes , pies , daily made sausage rolls , black pudding scotch eggs , swiss rolls filled rolls , sandwiches, stew , soup custard tarts , baps or the Saturday morning fry i guarantee you wont be let down. I highly recommend you check out this gem when youre next in Whitehead. Keep an eye out for his fully packed pork and tomato pies!!

Marvellous. We had a loaf of Guinness and apple wheaten, a jalapeno soda bread (which we ate with an Angus sirloin from McMasters over the road... The GOAT) and potato farls for breaky then next day

Sausage rolls...yum yum....However, whilst I used to have a weekly treat of one of theses at breakfast time, prices have risen to £1.75 each...too expensive for me!!!! I seem to remember that not too long ago, they were priced at £1 each...I also understand why price increases occur. Needless to say, I cannot see myself returning....nor recommending Tweedie Pies to...
