To be quite frank, I didnât even want to give the one star to this place. I truly believe that no female is safe in this bar and the staff/management choose to continue to support and turn a blind eye to the predatory behaviour of their male customers and allow the ongoing spiking within their bar. Myself and 6 friends visited this venue only to be verbally abused by a male customer within 5 minutes of arriving, undoing his belt and zip, walking towards us and asking us which one wants it first. This same male customer continued to harass us at our allocated table, knocking into us and trying to intimidate us, also going to our food and drinks when he thought none of us where watching. One of my friends finally called him out when he was caught at our table with our drinks again only for him to become verbally and physically abusive towards her. 3 of the girls where then removed while another found me and the rest of the group to inform us of what happened and that we were all being removed. One of the bouncers became frustrated at all of us for continuing to call out the male customer for being a predator and we knew what he had done, so the bouncer squared up to one of my friends and because she didnât back down he launched at her dragging her back into the entrance and throwing her to the floor. His colleague then told him to get off her. We were then informed that the police had been called to come and deal with us. By this point the âpredatorâ had been allowed back into the bar to carry on his night while we were outside, not being supported or listened to and being told to leave or we would be arrested. So we waited for the police so that we could finally be heardâŚ. This did not happen. They arrived and your bouncer claimed that my friend had attacked him and thatâs why he assaulted her. All our statements were taken and the âpredatorâ was brought out by police and questioned. He laughed and joked with them. he then came and stood in the street right near all of us laughing with his mates not taking his eye off one girl in particular (the one who called him out) he then went back into the bar and we were told by police to leave prince of wales. We went to get food and a taxi, but by this point my friend who called out the âpredatorâ began to take a turn for the worse, unable to walk or talk, eyes rolling, body shaking, and in and out of consciousnessâŚ. She had been spiked. I came back to bar and beyond while the others stayed together keeping our friend awake and safe waiting for the ambulance. I wanted to make your bouncers aware of what had happened and not one of them apologised for not protecting her or for not believing us. It makes me sick to my stomach to think that had my friend been someone else on their own something so much worse would have happened to them and your establishment would have allowed it. You truly failed your female customers. 7 women telling your staff one of your male customers is not right and they chose to remove us and protect him. If all you care about is the money your establishment makes and not the safety of your customers who keep your business alive then you should not be running. We have always enjoyed coming to you on our nights out, but after this and now reading endless reviews, articles and Facebook comments about spiking and predatory behaviour, I can see that yours is not a safe place to be. As a group we have always stayed vigilant and always stayed in pairs if leaving the group for one reason or another and thank god for this. We all intend to take this as far as we can, and I hope you can understand why. Maybe it is time for you to see past the money and see the human beings behind it that you have failed and put in clear danger. Shape up...
Read moreJeez... Where to begin? We went here for our work Christmas party, thinking it would be a good night out. A 3 course dinner in a private room, with our own private bar. Sounds great, right? Nope.
Firstly, the lighting was dreadful, and obtrusive pop music from the tin-can speakers meant having a discussion with the person next to you was almost impossible. Food was meant to be served from 8, but some people didn't have their starters until well after 9pm, while others were left waiting for their mains until after 10. When the food finally did come out, only 1 or 2 people at each table were eating at a time, while the servers dithered around trying to figure out what food went where. Then there is the quality of food... God damn. When going out for a meal, I expect quality, fresh food - not some undercooked Aunt Bessies potatoes and roadkill turkey concoction, being served at a rate expected from a children's easy-bake oven.
At least we had the private bar, right? Well, thanks to the decision to only provide 1 member of staff to server around 80 people all night, we were left waiting for upwards of half an hour for each drink. No fault of the barman. He did everything he could, and his job was only made worse when he started running out of ingredients for his cocktails.
I had hoped for a nice evening with some work colleagues, enjoying some quality food, and having an all-round good night. Instead what we got was more akin to eating a microwave ready meal the middle of some tacky post-industrial rave.
Merry...

My company had booked a Christmas do and we were given the downstairs area for our party of around 80 people.
We were given drinks vouchers but bar staff had conflicting views on what was included. This was a sign of things to come.
For nearly the entire evening there was just a lone barman to serve everyone - it wasn't his fault people went home with unused drinks vouchers (a first for any work Christmas do I've ever been to!) as he was ran off his socks all night and had to constantly break the bad news to customers that he didn't have the ingredients for a lot of the drinks.
The food was DIRE - a sub-standard school dinner level of quality. Tinned peas and carrots, dry leathery meat and 3 50p sized luke warm roast potatoes.
Worst of all the food was planned to start being served at 8 however no starters appeared at all until after 9:30, the mains not until after 10 and desserts not until 10:30. What a joke! A lot of people had left before they got to eat their mains and I don't blame them - starving hungry and not able to even get served for a drink!
Serving staff didn't seem to know where people were sat or what they had ordered and didn't appear to care either. I get the feeling they were left with little or no instructions.
The management did provide a semblance of compensation for the long wait times in the form of more free drinks tokens which of course we couldn't use because the barman was overloaded....
