everything i order usually is amazing. the majority of the staff are lovely apart from one member — i’m not too sure if he’s the manager? there’s been multiple instances where he’s been nothing but unwelcoming and quite rude to me and those i’ve been with. there was one instance in which me and a friend came into the shop to order our food to which the said member of staff asked if we wanted a menu; when we politely declined and said we know what we’re having, he gave us both incredibly dirty looks and became almost standoffish — he also just proceeded to not go about whatever he was doing, stood in front of us so we couldn’t reach the counter to order, and just stared at us until we said we’re going to sit outside? to which he just said ‘umm okay?’ despite the sign outside asking for people to come in and say hi before sitting outside. in another instance we went into the shop to inquire if it was okay if we sat outside, the same member of staff quickly brushed us off as if we were inconveniencing him in some way and simply told us to go sit outside and he’ll come take our order. we sat outside for about 30 minutes and not once did anyone let alone the member of staff come to take our order — so we just left. there’s been so many instances in which i’ve been sitting outside and every single time he side eyes me whilst going in and out of the shop. i’m not too sure if he’s just like this or if he seriously has something against me — regardless he makes the environment very very uncomfortable and i now avoid going to the...

I experienced terrible customer service here... On Tuesday 24th I had a meal which was nice, but I’m really disappointed about an incident that happened during and how it was dealt with. Towards the end of my meal I had hot wax drip all down my arm, when looking up realised that I had been sat underneath a candle that was placed high towards the ceiling. It burned my skin and was also all over my jacket, my jumper, dress, one of my shoes, bag and I even had some in my hair! (So close to my face!) The lady behind the bar saw and her only comment was “it will come out with an iron. We usually have a sign saying it drips” then she walked off. Unfortunately as my jacket is lined with cream fluffy sheeps wool and on the outside it is cord it has not come out and I am now left with red wax all over it. It has not come out of my jumper either. The dry cleaners have said this cannot be cleaned by them I received no apology from the staff, they seemed unconcerned that this was dangerous and hot wax had dropped on a customers skin and ruined their clothes. My jacket and jumper cost more than the meal we had and I also cannot understand why anyone would think it’s ok to sit someone underneath, sign or not (which definitely wasn’t present that night)

Although after contacting the restaurant they acknowledged the incident and asked for photos of my clothes, which I have provided. they now refuse the answer my emails or contact me by phone to deal with recompensing me for my...

I ate here last night and I cannot remember the last time I had such an excellent meal. I've had breakfast here before, their maple syrup and bacon pancakes are excellent but this meal was on another level, if they'd have brought that curly headed Scotsman who always crops up in the later rounds of Masterchef out to tell me he had cooked it I would not have been surprised. This was a meal that made me want to... Tell everyone about it Tell the expectant waiter that I was very much enjoying my meal Consider asking to see the Chef who I may have hugged if I didn't feel a little socially awkward Actually bother to take the time review their restaurant Leave a healthy tip

To start I had olives and bread with oil, my partner I shared these along with a baked camembert served with sliced apple, rosemary and fresh bread. I then had what I can only describe as the finest most deliciously rich chicken and mushroom (with red amaranth, crispy leeks, lemon and cep powder) dish I've ever had with some twice cooked chips on the side. I could not manage pudding which was upsetting as there was a salted caramel, sticky toffee pudding on offer.

In short I would highly recommend...for a Michelin Star, oh and cheap as chips, same as any average pub and a million...

After a number of fond memories here in the past on nights out I was semi excited to try the food with my mate this morning. My overall experience however left me feeling disappointed and somewhat ripped off. I went for the eggs Royale. The salmon turned up coloured purple and the taste was overwhelmed with a sourness that dominated my taste buds. After 10 minutes of eating as much as I could I developed a stomach ache and after 2hours I was at home on the toilet and it was leaving me at the other end. No table checks or questions when paying the bill which lead to this review. Stick to what your good at guys. (Drinks and entertainment) Based on my experience I will not be eating here again.

I’ve been wanting to make a trip to The Bicycle Shop for a while. So while I was out entertaining the smallest of our tribe I decided today would be a great day to go. I chose the eggs royale and it was beautifully created and thoroughly enjoyed. The child went off menu and opted for a lovely little scrambled egg with toast. Seating was plentiful for such a small place and it has a great interior design. All the staff were polite and happy to help which I love. Thank you I’m sure there will be more delights to come

We arrived in Norwich, to commence ‘the adventures of the Norfolk Coast’ for a cheeky long weekend & found ourselves thirsty & hungry. The Bicycle Shop had great street appeal & we were greeted by the lovely David when peeking in. Great aperol spritz & Negroni to start with. Followed by a scrumptious sweet potato sandwich & delicious fresh white bait. Thank you David for your recommendation for dinner; the XO Kitchen - again delicious. We’ll be with you next Saturday with family. Thank you 🤩 Highly recommended!
