Strangers in Norwich: A Hidden Gem for Coffee Lovers and Foodies Alike
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Strangers, a small coffee shop tucked away in the charming city of Norwich. This cozy, welcoming cafe boasts expertly brewed coffee, delicious cakes and pastries, and friendly, knowledgeable baristas. I was especially impressed by their Espresso Tonic, which has quickly become a personal favorite.
From the moment I walked into Strangers, I was greeted by the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the warm, inviting atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The interior is tastefully decorated, with a mix of rustic wooden furniture and modern, minimalist touches that create the perfect environment for catching up with friends, working on a laptop, or simply enjoying a quiet moment with a good book.
The coffee at Strangers is truly exceptional, with each cup crafted by skilled baristas who are passionate about their craft. The Espresso Tonic, a unique and innovative concoction that combines espresso with tonic water, was an absolute delight. The bitterness of the espresso beautifully complemented the crisp, refreshing taste of the tonic, making for a drink that was both invigorating and satisfying.
In addition to their top-notch coffee, Strangers offers an array of tempting cakes and pastries that are perfect for satisfying a sweet tooth. As a vegan, I was thrilled to find a selection of plant-based treats, with the vegan sausage roll being a standout favorite. The flaky, golden pastry was filled with a flavorful, well-seasoned mixture that had me reaching for seconds.
The staff at Strangers were friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with a smile and provide recommendations for those unsure of what to try. Their enthusiasm for the coffee they serve and the welcoming environment they create makes Strangers a one-of-a-kind coffee shop that's not to be missed.
In conclusion, Strangers is a must-visit destination for coffee aficionados and foodies alike. With its expertly brewed beverages, scrumptious cakes and pastries, and warm, friendly atmosphere, this little Norwich gem is sure to leave a lasting impression. I can't wait for my next visit to indulge in another Espresso Tonic and vegan...
Read moreI walked up to your Pottergate shop this morning to grab a coffee and almond croissant, it was 0810. When I asked your employee whether you were open he abruptly said NO! and walked off into the shop. Whilst I appreciate you don’t open until 0830 ( which I wasn’t aware of at the time), what I didn’t appreciate was the tone and rudeness of your employee effectively telling me to sod off!! I assume he gets asked the same question at the same time every day of the week. My advice would be don’t open your door and get the tables out into the street until 0829. Although you sell the best croissants in Norwich I still won’t be revisiting your shop in the future Btw I had to put 1 star as I wouldn’t have been able to post the review...
Read moreWent in as was passing by and fancied an ice latte (perfectly made, nice, strong and ice cold). Atmosphere was very welcoming, chilled and relaxed. Staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. One staff member told me about some facinating fermentation processes currently going on in the industry which I'll be on the look out for the end product. Definitely learned something new and interesting today! Purchased a bag of their columbian roast, came home and made a cup, beautifully balanced, sweet and fruity and staff member did say it would smell of cheesecake and absolutely did. It was an all round exceptional experience. Certainly will be my new favourite coffee haunt in the city. Highly recommend a trip...
