We went to the wallow for a few evening drinks and food. We sat upstairs next to the self-serve wine area. I thought this was a great idea to add extra flair to the night. We also tried some gins which were very good, I highly recommend the raspberry gin. The barman was very knowledgeable and made some good recommendations about flavours and mixer pairings. I was very impressed by the food, it really exceeded my expectations. The portions were a very, very good size for the price, which I was really over moon about. It was very fresh, you could tell just made a moment ago, great flavour, just so delicious. It really made the night to feel that they really care for their guests. The staff were really friendly and attentive, really great service, you can tell they really care about their business. The atmosphere was great too, good music, a very buzzing atmosphere, everyone was so happy and laughing, it was a lovely place to spend a few hours. Will definitely...
Read moreThis is our favourite place in Norwich. Open fire, sofas, friends themed fridges, help yourself wine and fantastic customer service. It is like hanging out in our friends in living room. We love that you have opened this special bar in the heart of Norwich. The food is delicious (cheese board is just what you fancy when drinking this lovely wine) the bar is always warm, the prosecco is really reasonably priced. The wine on offer is fantastic and the staff and owners are amazing. I would recommend The Wallow to anyone. I am only sad that now everyone will know how fantastic The Wallow really is. Thank you for always looking after us Alice and Co.
Quick side note - I think it is very odd for people to comment on a wine bar they have never actually entered before. Perhaps you could give The Wallow the chance to really wow you. Once you have been in you will never want to leave. The above comment comes across jealous and is in no way constructive to the...
Read moreThis place fancies itself and is quite fancy, and the prices reflect this. While they have the self service wine I didn’t actually see anyone using it and that was on a busy Saturday night. We had a table booked and for a Saturday evening I would suggest you book ahead as they were turning people away until 9pm. The food was nice, basic but nicely done. The service was the biggest let down for me. It wasn’t that it was bad, it was just slow. To the point where everyone on the table starts doing the meerkat looks to try and catch the waiting staff’s attention. When they did turn up, they were very welcoming and friendly. Overall, this place is nice for something a bit special (they have bottles of Dom Perignon in the fridges) but I wouldn’t rush back as Norwich has so many other great...
