BoaVista — Restaurant in Nottingham

Boavista is perfection! I love it here, whenever I’m craving Portuguese food! The Francesinha is my favourite because of that home made beer sauce! An absolute Chefs kiss to whoever makes that! My girlfriend is Portuguese and we used to eat from here when we first met on her recommendation and we clearly want more! The staff are lovely, the service is excellent and the overall authenticity of the Portuguese cuisine is second to none. I can only give a 5 star rating but I wish I could give more! Small independent restaurants like this deserve more recognition and respect! I have recommended to my family and all of my friends who are foodies, although I’ve never dined in the restaurant, it is always a pleasant, warm and welcoming atmosphere whenever I walk in and the locals seem like a tight knit group! This restaurant/cafe is very much equivalent to what in Portugal might be referred to as a 'tasca', a small & cosy, local eatery known by locals & regulars for its consistent quality & friendliness. (For lovers of the Portuguese tart, the nata, theirs are quite delicious & cooked on site & from fresh throughout the day, one batch at a time.) Although somewhat off the beaten touristic track, it's very accessible & easy to find in Hyson Green. This restaurant it's not portugese, I eat there and It wos the worst place I eat in all my 50 years of life in eat a francesca there and taste it like white wine and a inside w is not francesca. It wos very bad. I also eat cosido a Portuguesa and wis very bad.
