*EDIT: I came in the restaurant to “TAKEAWAY THE FOOD I ORDERED”, also the reply was a useless attempt to cover their scam of selling leftovers since it definitely wasn’t fresh (even after reheating this disgusting food you can taste this is not fresh and is made with old oil; I’m pretty sure that cold chicken left on display for hours is a safety hazard as it becomes a source of bacteria that is harmful when ingested even if it is reheated in the microwave afterwards (btw their online menu advertisement is very misleading as none of the food is properly made). THEY SHOULD DEFINITELY LEARN FROM THEIR COMPETITORS LIKE “KARAK CHAI”, “CHAIIWALA”and “The Urban Rikshaw” on how to make proper Indian food that doesn’t taste disgusting. (Btw if it’s not a takeaway then why do you have a website to order food online??) |takeaway definition: “a restaurant or shop selling cooked food to be eaten elsewhere.” REVIEW: I ordered a takeaway from this restaurant. First of all, the price doesn’t match with the quality. All of the food (worth over 50£) was greasy, stinking and cold. The chili chicken and chili paneer were very oily and greasy (they were not fresh and they probably served us leftovers). The papri chaats were made from some OLD oil as it was oozing out of grease that caused me nausea, 80% of the boxes were filled with cold boiled potatoes and it didn’t have any topping whatsoever other than some yoghurt on the top that was probably put in to cover their scam (the food was way different than what it was advertised in their online menu). The Naans and vegetable pakoras were also not fresh and were probably leftovers from the day before. Almost all of the food had to be thrown away as they were not fresh and were very disgusting. TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY! Would definitely not recommend to someone that wants to eat some...
Read moreDespite asking for prompt collection due to the food being for a church event, it was 90 minutes late - & even then had to compromise on food ordered & paid for. Arrived at church so late that some people had left as they could no longer wait for the food. I also missec an important - & poignant - last service. A customer in the shop at the time of collection said that the same thing had happened to her.
Perhaps I should have followed my instincts & not have ordered in the 1st place as the same disposable gloves are used for everything - handling the food, handling the mobile phone, handling money etc!
02/08/19 edit: Met with the manager, Rahul, today. He had responded to explain & apologise for my experience but I had been unable to open the message.
I am pleased to report that our meeting was very positive. Rahul responded excellently to my previous comments &, as well as being receptive to my comments, refunded my payment in full.
Though the service was disappointing initially, I would certainly recommend Bombay Sweet Centre for their response to customer feedback. I am now confident that I would order from them again.

Read moreReally enjoyed the chaat was really flavoursome one of the best ones I’ve tried in a long time. Lamb Samosa and chicken kebab weren’t that good I wasn’t that impressed with them, the vegetable samosa was good, the Paneer dish was not that good but the butter chicken was really flavoursome I really enjoyed that didn’t have any spice though, but the flavours were really good. The lamb curry was also really good. Only let down was I went to this branch as I wanted the fish curry but when I got there they told me that they didn’t serve the fish curry only the City centre branch did but didn’t really apologise for the inconvenience, just discussed it with her manager even though the website showed they did serve it so I went to this one had I known I would have gone to the other...
