Crafty Teller — Restaurant in Nottingham

Lovely place, good atmosphere, good selection of drinks...... But..... We were sat down by a waitress who said she'd be back to take our order. 15 minutes later she's still talking to the group of 8 sat opposite us. Now i know part of the service is to be friendly but this waitress appeared to be doing all the talking while we sat there like lemons waiting, it was actually quite rude. We didn't get served until another member of staff spotted that we had been waiting. This has put us off returning. Visit 10:30pm Friday 28th Jan

I can now see the management reply..... And wholly disagree, we arrived around 10:30... And after a long wait we decide we would walk out if we didn't get served by 10.55, we actually got served at around 10.50. We are patient people normally but unlike said in the reply the staff were 100% "idle" chatting to another table next to ours after serving thier drinks. At no point ( on entry or otherwise) were we advised of any delay. You admit we had to wait a while but then say we only had to wait 4 mins?? .... Im not so sure you're looking at the correct people on your CCTV, like you said a few arrived at around that time. We watched at least 2 other couples come in after us. Need to do something with this pub or it won’t last. It is absolutely filthy. Floor is covered in grime, dirt and old food, chairs dusty and grimy I didn’t want to sit on them. The toilets clearly aren’t cleaned regularly as every one has poo on the sides. My group were the only group in here, which was suprising at first but understandable. Being the only people in a bar on a Friday night really shows something is seriously wrong. The charcuterie board was nice, a bit pricey, but I didn’t want to eat it as the pub is so dirty I don’t want to think what the kitchens like. Drinks are nice had a nice cocktail but more on the expensive size It feels like being in someone’s house, not a pub, with a staff members child’s belongings strewn across a couple of tables and a child in pyjamas running around. Music was very odd too and made the place feel eerie The decor is tired and really needs a tidy up, furnishings chipped and grotty and threadbare and the bar is full of bizarre wall art which doesn’t suit the vibe of the pub I feel sad having to write such a review but I will not be returning, from the outside it looks like a nice place but it is just strange and eerie. They need to make some big changes or they won’t be...

Was quickly becoming my favourite bar in Sherwood, dog friendly and tapas sharing platter excellent idea and value Friendly staff chilled atmosphere good drink selection. Looking forward to trying the Sunday roast. Update Nov..... ( 6 weeks later)

would be much happier if the barman didn't pick up the slice of lemon for my drink with his fingers, say its OK because his hands are clean, then shortly after wipe his sweaty forehead with his t shirt; all this whilst behind the bar.

If you can't provide tongs for the slices of fruit, maybe don't offer it in drinks or better still explain to staff about not using hands to put sliced fruit in customers drinks!!! Think its called basic Health and...
