Mezza Turkish Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in Nottingham

having been recommended , I thought I would give the Mezza a try, I ordered garlic prawns for starter... and Lamb ribs for main course......the waitress brought the complimentary bread and dips to the table ... with two dips I was dining alone if two people dine you get four dips, ( why they cant just half the four dips for lone diners I do not know) but I did recommend this to the manager , they delivered my main course look's good ,portion good.but I hadn't had my starter! , so I said to the waitress I have not had my starter yet, oh sorry she said made I made a mistake it happens )the prawns are on there way now, I now have two plates of food in front of me , so I politely asked if they could take the maim course back..so I ate the King garlic prawns ( couldn't really taste any garlic) I asked the waitress to leave the bread on the table hoping there would be garlic oil in the bottom of the king prawns so I could dab the bread into the garlic oil ...but they were on a bed of salad so dry. The Lamb ribs main course were lovely and tender....after the meal I did complain to the manager discreetly he apologised and said sorry I will give you this for next time you visit snd handed me two cards with 15% off.. the type of promotional card that would be pushed through any ones door to attract customers, but as an ex manager of restaurants I don't feel the manager sorted the problem out really, he should have at least offered a free drink or a discount.. .. but his way of an apology was to make me visit again spend more money to put 'tonights problem' right . when there is a problem 'now' it should be...

We visited Mezze in Sherwood for the first time, and what a wonderful surprise it was! The moment we walked in, we felt instantly welcomed—the décor, the atmosphere, and the cosy surroundings created such a warm and inviting environment. It’s amazing to find a place like this right here in Sherwood. Everything was perfect from start to finish: the friendly and attentive staff, the service, the ambience, the music, and of course, the food. The dishes were beautifully authentic—traditional Turkish flavours that truly tasted like home cooking, full of comfort and love. We enjoyed starters, mains, desserts, tea, and traditional Turkish ayran 💕 and when the bill arrived, we were genuinely amazed at how reasonably priced it all was. I almost had to double-check with the waiter because the value for money was incredible given the amount and quality of the food. Mezze is an absolute gem and well worth the 20-minute drive. This was our third time visiting Mezza, and once again it was absolutely perfect! The food is always delicious, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere is so warm and welcoming — it really makes you feel at home from the moment you walk in.

The staff are genuinely some of the friendliest people you’ll meet. They always go above and beyond to make sure everything is just right. We booked this visit for a birthday, and wow — it was such a lovely experience! The team made it feel so special, and the waiter was honestly 10/10 — so kind, attentive, and just a joy to talk to.
