+2 star for high quality grill food. Great flavours. +1 star for reasonale size portions. -2 stars for multiple times trying to over charge me and short change me, when i go to collect. Even been given fake coins from this place that look similar to uk ones! .If it was once or twice fair enough, but more than three times in less than a year of monthly orders and customer loyalty is too much, then offering nothing to make up for it, not even an appology, instead wanted to argue with me for no reason even though i was right, which is why am mentioning it incase they do it to other people too..maybe its just me because i i am polite and friendly they see it as someone easy to rip off.. Either way its not good customer service for this to happen as often as it has, but, the food quality is so good from here, i keep going back for more. The grill food is great high quality , just clueless on customer service...started going monmos which is 50p cheaper and has better customer service, and better packaging using metal boxes to keep food hot with cardboard lids to absorb the steam and not get soggy, plus they can be recycled, unlike the plastic boxes that grill town use...but... grill town has better flavour, and bigger portion sizes.i will boost this review to 4 stars ,if the customer service, continues to improve for regular customers.for the times i been ripped off that reduction of stars will last for couple more months till am happy again. I gave monmos 5, because i love the packaging, keeping the food hot protected from steam. Polite customer service. High quality, and get the orders and price right as being advertised!.. But for best flavour and portion sizes, i go to grill town. Could be 4 stars, maybe a 5 if the overall customer experience improved.
Edit update: so i worked for this place for a bit as a driver, and they tried to rip me off on each shift, so I kicked off, got my money and left.. -10 stars.. now reading the other feedback from people about how they blame driver.. I'm absolutely discusted to read this..i never once stole anything!! but they steal from customers, they steal from staff.. offering less than minimum wages, then not adding the hours up right, and calculating the distance incorrect!..and for underpaying, they give free food instead, so driver would have no reason to steal food!! A complete liar this person is, the owner, is a dishonest scumbag and this place doesn't even deserve one star now, i wonder now why this guy prays everyday in the resteraunt, cos no good god should allow a person to be so dishonest, and gas lighting situations, and upsetting people, and stealing etc..I personally witnessed there was at least one argument with customers everyday, and how they argue with customers instead of admitting mistakes, so i will never go back ever again! That's at least a tenner every few days he's lost, and a good, fast, honest driver!
Conclusion: Go to monmos instead. Kashir is a dishonest person. He has all the staff wrapped to his ways, cos he hires staff who are truly desperate!! Less than mimumum wages, should be investigated. Yes, the chef here is talented, and staff work so hard while owner sits round giving orders and arguing with staff, but it's not worth it. staff dont deserve such a bad boss and leadership, its not their fault and prob really need the money, but owner really doesn't deserve anything! Sooner place gets shut down sooner they will find better jobs. The chef is really talented, but he has such poor leadship from the boss, the negative bad atmosfear ,traits and attitude the owner has rubs off onto everyone in some way or another! For me, i just felt angry all time on shifts cos the night before i hadn't been paid, or given correct wage, or was owed money all time wondering if i would ever get it, or was supposed to get a free grill, but instead given something else, so was hard sometimes to keep smiling!..then to see he blames drivers for missing items and ripping customers off is really awful. The bag that you guys gave to the driver doesn't even have any damage at all! Don't look like the driver took it. You guys just dont want to accept your mistake! The driver informed us that you guys gave him only 2 bags. He received only 2 bags from your st*pd place! and you also agreed that you give 2 bags to the driver. You informed me when we were on call. It's your responsibility to fix this problem. Not us! We already rang the driver!!! But you still don't want to accept the mistake and keep arguing for your own mistake. 2023: 3 years later and I won't be returning. Ordered for delivery and unlike every other delivery driver from anywhere else, these guys demand that you come downstairs and collect it from the car instead of coming to your door. I'm a regular, probably order once a week. This time is the first time I couldn't come down as I had my baby with me and couldn't leave him alone whilst I go down. It was also far too cold for me to take him downstairs and then back up. On the intercom, I explained to the driver that I'll buzz him through. He was insanely rude and said it's not his problem, then walked back to his car. I spoke to him from outside my window explaining that I can't come down again, he claimed it's too hard for him to walk up and down the stairs. I asked if he was joking, he was being serious. I said there's a lift you can take, he then said we have a policy where we can't enter buildings. I then said he can go round the back of the building there's stairs on the outside. He refused. I called the shop and explained the situation, the guy answering the phone's reply was I'm dealing with 100's of orders right now I don't have time for this. I'm in disbelief that a delivery driver doesn't want to go up stairs to deliver food to someone's door. Someone who is and has been a regular for years, and always comes down to collect it, apart from this one time. He was convinced by the shop to come upstairs, he delivered it begrudgingly and said this is the last time I'm doing this, it's not my job. In my years as a delivery driver myself, I've never treated a customer like this. My typing doesn't do justice to how rude he was, one of the most disrespectful people I have ever encountered....
