Drove in to a great size car park around the back of the pub, we walked around the front to find a great welcoming entrance, we went to the bar where we were met by Stuart and Kevin who were both extremely friendly and welcoming, we had booked which was very lucky as the pub was very busy, we were then shown to our table which was tucked away in a corner and it was just perfect, they have a good range of drinks including cocktails šŸ¹, however we had a pint of John Smiths and decent bottle of Pinot which were very reasonable priced, we ordered the food at the bar and this included one starter which was a wild mushroom soup, which was amazing and very tasty, we ordered three different main courses, a leg of lamb Sunday dinner, roast chicken Sunday dinner and a steak feast, all meals arrived in good time, they were all hot, very tasty, we got plenty, and we couldn’t fault any of the main courses they were fantastic, we also ordered three deserts - two Eton Mess sundae’s and a Mint Aero sundae which again were amazing and we couldn’t fault. From start to finish the staff were 5 āļø, the food was 5 āļø, and the drinks were 5 āļø, there definitely isn’t any compromise on quality, service or quantity. I would definitely recommend visiting. And finally I would like to say a huge thank you to all the team at The Willow Tree and we will definitely be visiting again.

An exceptionally clean and inviting tavern with a sizable menu with many different options. The duck wonton appetizers were crispy and served with a sauce that was slightly sweet with just a hint of coriander. The main portions were more than enough for a hungry adult (and then some). The sausages were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside - exactly how they should be. And the staff were extremely friendly. They made us feel not like tourists, but instead like we were part of the local crowd. A definite repeat when we're back in the area.

Amazing food, we were in the area after having a 4d scan across the road and thought we would have give willow tree a go due to the good reviews. Food is phenomenal! Spoke to Mandy the chef who has worked there 17 years, I can see why! All staff were friendly and me and my family were made to feel part of the crowd despite going out late with a toddler in tow. Not many people are so accepting of a 21 month old in a pub during evening time but it wasn't an issue for anyone in this pub. Can't wait to come back again soon :)

Had a bad meal 2 weeks ago when we took friends to the Willow tree. We had been there a week prior and ordered the belly pork and it states it is slow roasted . You could not fault it. Cooked to perfection. So when my friends came up from South Wales.. I knew The Willow was the place to take them. I ordered the same as I did the week before and it was horrible. What I got was at best described as burnt pork chops. There were grill marks on it and the fat was badly burnt and when the Scottish manager picked up my plate it was all stil there. I told him this isn't belly pork and could not eat it as it was over cooked and burnt pork chops. He never offered to make it right or discount my meal. His comment was I will pass it on to the chef. I felt robbed on a meal and have gone there on and off for years. If something is not right... saw no food was eaten.. he never ever once asked if I wanted something else. Them having left overs and cooking it differently changed the entire dynamic of the meal . It should not have been on the specials board if tgwy were not willing to serve it up as described. People are watching their money and going out is a treat .I felt robbed of a meal and I will never go there as it did leave s bad taste in my mouth. The owner of this establishment also runs the Stadium club and they make sure that everyone that fines there leaves happy and satisfied. Perhaps management needs to learn a thing or 2 from the Stadium clubs book. They will get my business before I will ever walk into The Willow again. Shame as his staff are all lovely but think that was extremely poor service on his side as q manager. When you pay for a meal you want it to be good and regardless of what great things he did in my past visits.. it is this one that I...

One of my most favourite establishments by far, some of the most nicest, friendliest and helpful people I've met! Also some of the most consistently well cooked, tasty, wholesome food with huge portions that will easily fill you up!

I've been here many times over the last few years and along with the Stadium Leisure, the food is just absolutely fantastic. At Willow Tree, their chefs are really passionate and brilliant at what they do and the staff are pleasant with a very nice, relaxed atmosphere.

It's both great for casual and formal occassions as they have a bar/pub area and a restaurant side, which can serve as a party room or for more formal occassions or such.

Their roasts are exceptional, the best I've had anywhere, the club sandwich is the best too and the chefs even manage to rock dishes from other cuisines, I was blown away by some of the Japanese dishes they did for example!

On Sundays, you get the normal menus, board specials as with other days, but you also get the Sunday Roasts of course AND a special Sunday menu that frequently has new dishes and is very diverse! You also get the Sunday Roasts during anyday of the week as "Daily Roasts" until 5pm! They're still huge portions despite their cheaper price and still just as fantastic, their roasts are truly out of this world!

The staff are very accomodating, helpful, respectful, welcoming, understanding etc. They really treat you well, look after you and I've seen them helping the less able a lot too.

Willow Tree is one of those hidden treasures of Nottingham, it's...
