First time coming here.
I was looking forward to it. I ordered a large caramel latte while waiting for my partner to arrive so we could order food together. Ordered my drink at 19:43 via the little screen order point and waited saw my order number appear for ready to collect and then it vanished…. No one called it out so I waited i then went to the lady behind the counter and explained my order was ready but now it’s gone and she kind of acknowledges me but didn’t take in what I say…..by this point my partner has arrived so we go back to the screen and order food. We order two maple burgers and ice vanilla latte for him and fries.. she calls out the order. So I then ask again about my first order and she finally rectifies it.. they then forget about his ice vanilla latte and she then checks receipt and hands over this white Icy thing…. He makes me try it.. it’s lemonade so I go back and she hands me an ice latte with no flavour but hey at-least it’s closer to the original order….
Took 30 minutes for me to get my latte and they weren’t particularly busy (maybe on the drive thru I don’t know)
They should have different people managing the orders for different sections tho so no confusion or slowing down occurs…30 minutes for one drink is rather excessive
The food was all-right nothing to write home about
Probably won’t go back not because I’m boycotting, more because the whole experience...
Read moreWe went there for a treat. It was very quiet which was nice. I had some questions (as the donuts have names but no information) but no staff member was available to ask. Eventually we ordered via the screen whcih again had no further info re the donuts. I painstakingly picked which timbits I wanted.
The order was ready quickly. But when I opened my timbits box, it didn't have the combination I'd chosen. I took it back to the counter and she admitted she'd just given me the standard box and asked me to pick again and she'd load it up. I couldn't remember what I'd picked so had to start the process again. The timbits were OK, but pretty dry.
I chose a milkshake because it was cold so I didn't want a frappe with ice. The drink had crushed ice in it...?? Apparently that's correct...?! The difference between a frappe and a milkshake is milk vs cream there... OK... It was not a milkshake it was a frappe. I felt cheated.
The whole atmosphere was very odd, someone came in, sat down, had a loud phone conversation then promptly left. Someone else randomly left their backpack on the table behind us. The staff seemed to be walking around like zombies in a stupor. We decided to get ourselves out of there.
Lots of potential, we won't...
Read moreI lived for 15 years in Canada. This is not Tims. This is generic bad bland fast food. Tims is known and loved for fresh doughnuts, coffee, and I also loved their bagels. Also, it's competitively priced in Canada which is not the case in the UK.
This. This is disappointment personified. The doughnuts are stale and bland with barely any filling - I strongly suspect baked off site and at least several days old. Tims in Canada bake fresh batches on site and the difference is stark.
As to their food offerings, why go here? They do burgers and chicken sandwiches which are both done better else where. Bring back the bagels!
If I was HQ in Canada I'd be asking the UK what it thinks it is doing as it certainly isn't representative of what Tims in Canada is. I can't wrap my head around the point of buying a franchise like Tims and then not repeating the elements that made it succesful, but instead copying what everyone in the UK is already doing?
The location itself was relatively clean in the dining area, but piles of trays had built up around the bins which were also over flowing and the toilets weren't partcularly well kept. Staff seemed efficient if impersonal and the touch screen ordering points are...
