Akbar Indian Cuisine — Restaurant in Oadby and Wigston

Some children prank ordered food to my address for cash on delivery. The female delivery driver was lovely and was patiently trying to work with me, she helpfully offered to call the restaurant but Instead of working with me to try and resolve the issue the male on the phone who I presume is a manager, unfortunately just became hostile and aggressive accusing me of lying about ordering the food - I didn’t even know which restaurant it was from until the lady showed me the receipt!!!! (as if I would use my own address and open the door……) I asked the man to try to retrieve the number that had called him, and recall whether it was a boy, a girl to narrow down the person. He just kept reeling off my door number and the number the caller gave rather than the number the prankster called from, and insisting we ordered the food. He didn’t seem to have a clue what I was asking for. I’m sorry for the loss to your business but absolutely no need for you to be as rude...

Absolutely shameful and disrespectful of the management kicking off at me over the phone all because I rang up to put a complaint in about under cooked chicken pure pink in the middle when chicken is cooked it’s not pure pink and I know when chicken is cooked and that was not cooked and yelling down the phone at me. Told them I will be reporting them if me or my partner are unwell tomorrow and will be seeking compensation for it it’s bang out of order won’t be going again.

This place should be ashamed of them selfs what a disgrace bring GORKHA back that was way better then this rubbish this place is getting reported for there...

Lovely meal tonight. Our first visit since change of ownership. Not sure what to expect but we really enjoyed it. We had a couple of popadoms & pickles, chicken supreme and my partner had begun bahar, we shared a mushroom fried rice and garlick naan with a bottle of Pinot Grigio came to less than £60 .
